Logan / Hocking Hills KOA , Logan, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

Very steep access road off of 664. The roadway is very scarred from folk's dragging. Very tight turns and some very rolling roadway inside the park. If you have a long trailer you may have problems dragging. We camped at Logan / Hocking Hills KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Spring Valley Campground, Cambridge, Ohio

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

For a 43' foot fifth wheel trailer, this is an easily accessed park from I-70 (and close to I-77). The price charged seems reasonable for good electric service, decent water and good pressure. Sewer is the standard 4" connection. It appears that the utilities are located in the site primarily for motorhome use because they are "forward" in the site. If you prefer to park your truck at the front and leave the trailer towards the rear, you may need an extra cord and another section of both water and sewer hose. The Wi-Fi is excellent and we had good coverage from our AT&T phones. There was a very competent gal on duty both times we used the office and it also contained some very basic grocery and RV type of supplies. Our main negative opinion is about the roads. They have been paved at some point but are now in very rough shape with many chuck-holes. These were all full of water even though it had not rained here for a few days and did not rain during our 5 day stay. Apparently the soil is clay with poor drainage. It was fairly muddy in a lot of places. The park appears to be occupied by a lot of local workmen but it still was pretty quiet, we thought. Overall, a good campground. We camped at Spring Valley Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Scenic Hills RV Park, Millersburg, Ohio

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is VERY friendly, both in large rig accessibility and the office staff. It is very convenient to all of Amish country. Wi-Fi access is free and works well but is fairly slow. Cell phone service was nonexistent. Even brochures from Holmes County stated that service was poor except for Verizon users. Our AT&T phones were nearly useless. This park provides fire wood for every camper. It is fairly peaceful other than some noise near the front of the park from a nearby lumber mill. We camped at Scenic Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort at Dogwood Valley, Mount Gilead, Ohio

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $82.00
Overall Rating:

This a nice park. Restrooms were very clean and there seemed to be a lot of family friendly activities available. It was also quite quiet after 10:00 pm. The cable television worked well. I would just mention to anyone with a long trailer, to be aware that there are some very tight turns. There are also several big dips in the roadway and a longer trailer is going to drag. The park is rated as "Big Rig Friendly" and I would have to disagree with that. We were given what was described as a "premium pull-through" and we had about 5 feet from our trailer to the road. We could not put the awning out or use the fire ring. We were disappointed; especially after paying $82 per night. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort at Dogwood Valley in a Fifth Wheel.

Tomorrow's Stars RV Resort, South Charleston, Ohio

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a pretty nice campground. It is a little older and could use more gravel in the roadways, etc. It is mostly flat and level and fairly easy to maneuver a large trailer in. The people are friendly. It is relatively quiet. We camped at Tomorrow's Stars RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
