Loveland RV Resort, Loveland, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for 2 nights and we were terribly disappointed. When the reservation was made, the main concern was that we understood that they would charge us for 1 night if we didn't show. When we checked in they had run our credit card within minutes of taking our phone reservation and than ran a second time for the 2nd night of our stay. We were escorted to our site in the back row by a worker who had us kind of sideways in our site and very unlevel. After he left we hooked up again and tried to get as level as possible and it just didn't work. The site was full of cigarette buts littered on the ground. The sites are "Jack & Jill". Two rigs using the same power pedestal and you have to walk sideways between you and your neighbor, when the slides are out on both rigs. I almost cracked my head on their slide after standing up after connecting the water. Their ad says "under new ownership" they need to take a careful look at their sites and what people are paying for this over priced old RV park. Wouldn't stay again! We camped at Loveland RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort, Hill City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for 3 nights, somewhat on the pricey side, however the spaces were very wide and easy access. It's very wide open, no one in front of us, views are fantastic. Easy to get to Crazy Horse or Mt. Rushmore. We camped with our family in their 5th wheel in the site beside us and the kids used the pool and said it was great. We would go back again if in the area. We camped at Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rancheros de Santa Fe Campground, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We were forced to make some drastic changes to our trip schedule and booked a reservation for 2 nights at this park. In making our changes we had some personal confusion as to what reservations we booked and as a result made a second reservation at another Santa Fe park for a Saturday and Sunday night.

On the Sunday morning we received a phone call from Rancheros asking why we "left early" as their maintenance told them we had. We were embarrassed at our error and told the young lady on the phone we hadn't left early, we had never checked in! She told us we would have to pay for the first night and we replied that we had no problem with them charging our card. She then said we would also have to pay for the second night. At 10:00 AM in the morning, this seemed a little over the top as we had not used any of their services, water, electricity, etc. She said she would speak to the manager and call us back. Several hours later she called and said management said we have to pay the full amount of the 2 nights stay and our card was charged $87.91.

We accept the fact that we made a mistake and should pay for the first night, but not the second. Other cancellations we were forced to make, either charged nothing or a minimum $10.

We would never ever consider this park for a return visit. We camped at Rancheros de Santa Fe Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Trailer Lane RV Park, Weed, California

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night on our way to Crater Lake. Small park with gravel sites, quite level. Owner came out to guide us into our pull thru and made sure we were comfortable in our site. We would definitely stay here again. Didn't notice the noise others have mentioned from the freeway. We camped at Trailer Lane RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Collier Memorial State Park, Chiloquin, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for 2 nights over a weekend, found the camp to be very pleasant, not what we expected from a State park. Hosts were great in guiding us to our site and helping us get properly parked. Our pull thru easily accommodated our truck and 36' - 5th wheel with 3 slides. The only downside was our inability to receive AT&T cell phone reception or WiFi. We would stay here again. We camped at Collier Memorial State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed one night and found it to be clean, quiet. Good space between our neighbors, grassy area outside our door. Our 36' - 5th wheel and Ford F-250 fit very easy on our site without disconnecting. Good overnight stop, would stay again. We camped at Blackstone North RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in 28 different RV parks over a 5 month period and this was the most expensive, but also the very best one. The sites were long, concrete pad and quite wide apart, with grass on either side. The laundry was very clean and the prices were consistent with what we found in other parks. The front desk staff provided information on tours, restaurants, etc. Very accommodating and friendly. One of our tours was all day and when we mentioned that we had 2 small dogs, one of the ladies mentioned that she was "pet certified" and volunteered to walk them several times during the day. That was a major plus! If we are ever in the neighborhood of Yellowstone, we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

St. Cloud Campground & RV Park, St. Cloud, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here in June, 2013 and found the camp to be clean with good level pull through sites. Our only complaint was the lack of trash receptacles anywhere near our site. You had to take your trash all the way back to the entrance. We were all the way at the back of the camp. They are pet friendly, with a designated area for your dogs. Signs all over the place to pick up after your pet, however, no cans to place the "poop" in after picking up. We camped at St. Cloud Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
