Long Lake Resort, Poteau, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Don't know how to rate this park. The office is closed over the weekend, so we didn't check in until the third day. There is a steep hill to get to the office, which you have to go back up to turn into the park. We didn't see any bathroom or showers. Park is in a nice meadow, but the spots are short and too narrow. Power, water, and sewer are at the back of the pad. Very quiet park and well kept. Our Dish, Verizon phone and aircard worked just fine. I don't think these people know much about RVs and getting into the park. The area had very little to see or do. There was a Drive In, in town, but we didn't see it. I think we would stay at the park again, but there is nothing of interest in the area. We camped at Long Lake Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Pelican Landings Resort, Afton, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access to this park. A very plain park. You park in the grass, no pads. Not much to do here at the park or around town, unless you have a boat. I don't think we would stay here or in the area again. Good power and we could use our Dish, Verizon phone and aircard. They do have WiFi in the club house. We camped at Pelican Landings Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Kettle Campground Cabins & RV Park, Eureka Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Has easy access from highway. Tight turns in the park. They didn't have our space saved so we had to camp in a back in site. They didn't charge us the Passport rate for any of the days. WiFi had a extra charge attached. I don't think we will stay here again. 50 amp was good and water pressure was good. We camped at Kettle Campground Cabins & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Osage Beach RV Park, Osage Beach, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access and easy check in. Pull through spots were a little short and the turning radius to leave spots is too short for 5th wheels. WiFi seems to be timed so this was a problem for us to catch up with business online. Verizon phone and aircard worked well. Trees blocked our Dish, but there was cable TV. Water pressure was good. Nice quiet park near all the busy activities in Osage Beach. We would stay here again. We camped at Osage Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Branson Stagecoach Campground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Easy entry to park. They guide you to your site and help with set up. Nice concrete site pad. Very big inventory of DVDs in the office. The laundry is the cleanest we have seen in an RV park. Staff was friendly and helpful with informantion on Branson. Water pressure was very good. We could use our Verizon phone and aircard. They had cable TV in the park but Dish worked through the small trees. It is away from all the Branson traffic and that is well worth the short drive to all the shows. A very nice Passport park. We would stay here again. We camped at Branson Stagecoach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Riverside Resort, Camp and Canoe Rental, Mammoth Spring, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Was a long dusty road to get to the park (like more than a mile). The check in was fine, except the girl didn't know where the dump station was and put us in a site already occupied. A nice camper went up to the office for us so we didnt' have to drive round and round with the 5th wheel. Nice wide, long, level sites. Some are along the river, most all are in trees. Well kept park with a small store. Also have floats and canoes available for the river. Water pressure was good. 30 amp was weak. We could use the Verizon phone and aircard. Dish worked great. As mentioned before, the train goes through every few hours even at night. We had a strange problem with flies the first day. We had about 40 flies in the rig in the afternoon. For the fly fisherman this was a great spot to go 500 yards from the rig to the river. Fishing was good when kids are not in the water. We would certainly stay here again. We camped at Riverside Resort, Camp and Canoe Rental in a Fifth Wheel.

Promise Land Resort & RV Sites, Mountain Home, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

It's a long way to park off the main road, but good directions are given. The 4 sites are all back in and not easy to get into. They are on a hill in the trees, on a dead end road. The power was good. the water was low pressure and off a pump. There was a nice pool, a game room and a small store. Town is about 35 miles away so bring all your food supplies. People were very helpful and friendly. We might stay here again. We camped at Promise Land Resort & RV Sites in a Fifth Wheel.

Golden Pond RV Park, Shirley, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We don't know how AOR can call this a resort. It is a very small RV park with gravel and grass. Check in was easy but not very helpful. The check in person gave us no information about the area or any of their amenities. We could use our Dish for a few days and then we couldn't get a signal. The parks WiFi worked at the back end of the park. They also had cable TV. We would not stay here again. There are better parks than this one. We camped at Golden Pond RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Has easy access from road. Check in took some time at the guard house. We were guided to our site and had our choice. Very nice, clean park with few other campers. Some sites need cleaning and others were under trees. We could use our phone, aircard and Dish. Has good water pressure and a nice long site. We would stay here again. We camped at Millwood Landing Golf & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nacogdoches RV Park, Nacogdoches, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Directions could have been clearer. You have to get off of the highway at the appropriate exit. It is a 4 lane divided highway. Small park with shade trees. I don't think the owners are on site. We had to call them to meet us at the park. This is just a place to park. One washer and dryer, no office, no area information, no receipt. They came by for their payment and left. I think the price was a little steep for no perks at all. We would look for another place. We camped at Nacogdoches RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pecan Valley RV Park, Junction, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Park has easy access from Interstate. Had a nice long pull through spot in the trees. There were some deer hanging around in the mornings in the large open field. It's a quiet park with good water pressure. We could use our Verizon phone, but not our aircard. Our Dish worked just fine. No complaints about the park, but I thought the price was a little high since there were no amenities. Cash only. Only has restrooms and shower, no laundry. We were within walking distance to the river, but it's difficult to access the water. Not sure if we would stay here again. The KOA in town looked pretty nice. We camped at Pecan Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
