This park is perched upon a ridge with ravines on both sides of it which makes for a pleasant breeze. The park is convenient to the Branson strip and other attractions. Camp sites are very shaded and larger than usual for a commercial campground. The RV sites are packed gravel and relatively level. Roads are asphalt and in some places in need of repair. It appeared that most pull through sites were relatively short and on top of a small rise which could make leveling difficult for larger RVs. The park was very clean and quiet at night. Management was very friendly and helpful. Cable TV had a number of channels. My only two complaints were that there was a lack of grass in the dog walk areas and we couldn't get a WIFI signal even though we were only a 150 yards or so from the transmitter. We would definitely stay here again when in the area. Rate reflects Passport America discount. Be aware, if you use your Passport America card you will have to pay with cash or check.

This is one of the nicest COE campgrounds we have camped in. The park is very shaded with good asphalt roads and level asphalt RV pads. In addition, each campsite has a raised packed gravel pad which has a fire ring, picnic table and grill on it. There is enough room on the pad for lawn chairs, etc. The number of sites that are suitable for satellite use are somewhat limited due to the trees. Also, on some sites it may be impossible to fully extend awnings due to the trees. We camped here on two different days, a Saturday night and a Tuesday night over the past two weeks. The park was less than 1/2 full and very quiet on both nights. The park is probably very full on holidays and spring break, thus it is much noisier than normal then. Cost is with KOA discount card. Stayed several days while visiting relatives. Convenient to Lubbock loop. Sites were relatively long and composed of gravel and hard packed dirt. There was no grass in the campground due to a continuing drought and this park could get pretty muddy if it rained much. Some new electrical stanchions had been installed, but there were a number of sites with outdated electrical connections (in my opinion). In fact, the 20 amp outside outlet at my hookup tested as having an open ground; 30 amp tested ok. This park is located just off US 84, but we didn't really notice the road noise. About 20-25 percent of the park was occupied by long term campers. Very little shade in the park again in part due to the drought. As someone else stated, this park needs some TLC! We would probably stay here again only because it was convenient to the area we were visiting.

Cost reflects KOA discount card. Stayed at the park several nights. Decent separation between sites using pinyon pines and juniper. New gravel had been added to some sites and parts of roads. Staff was helpful and guided us to our site. This is in a arid area of NM, so there wasn't much grass and a little dust. Easy access to I-20, but we really didn't notice the road noise. They also have an extra parking space beside the sites for tow or towed vehicles if you rig is too long. We would definitely stay here again while in the area.

Nice, very clean campground near the Rio Chama River. Roads and RV sites are well graveled. There are a number of nice shady sites near the river. There are also a number of big rig pull throughs and back ins along the property line that have little to no shade. If you are coming from the direction of Chama, you really have to be looking for the entrance sign as you can't see it until you are almost past the campground. The owners are very honest people who are very helpful and friendly. We would stay here again if in the area!

This campground is located in a beautiful setting and is super clean. (I hope that it has been spared from the fire that was started by lightning several miles from the campground a few days after we left.) The park has a number of beautiful well spaced spots for tent camping as well as pups and average sized rigs. There are a lot of trees in the campground offering a lot of shade. Most of the roads are asphalt or gravel as well as most of the sites. The pull-through sites have asphalt pads but are unlevel and in need of refurbishing especially for larger and longer rigs. Some utilities for the pull-throughs need relocating also. (For example, my neighbor's electrical connection would have been under my awning had I put it out.) Washer and dryer prices are reasonably priced. I would normally rate this campground a 7, but it is in such a beautiful location and so clean that it deserves an 8. We would stay here again when in the area.

RV park was very clean, sites were level and there were some trees. Sites were slightly larger in size for commercial parks. All roads were paved and RV pads were concrete. Staff was friendly and very helpful and they had a very nice gift shop. They are located on the west side of Albuquerque on I-40, but about 18 miles of Route 66 is close by including the part that goes through old Albuquerque. We were not bothered by any road noise from the interstate. They also serve a light continental breakfast free each morning. We intend to stay here again in the near future. Rate reflects Good Sam discount.

As others have said, this park is in a desert environment, so there is little or no shade. Sites were will spaced and level. Park was very clean. Dog park had grass which my small house dogs loved. Had a number of cable channels with cable TV unlike some other campgrounds with only six or seven channels available. This park is about 12 miles outside of Carlsbad, so that makes it about 32+ miles to the caverns. As far as KOA parks go, I would rate this a 9; in comparison with other RV parks I would rate this an 8. I thought that the cost was too high overall. Price of site was with KOA discount.

This was an overnight stop for us. This is a basic campground with limited amenities that is easily accessible and only a short distance from I-20. Most of the gravel sites for short term campers have limited shade but, were long and average in width for a commercial park. Cable TV had quite a number of cable channels available and WI-FI worked well. Laundry is located next to the camp store and office. We would stay here again when in the area.

This is the nicest COE campground we have camped in. Roads and pads are asphalt and in very good condition. Sites are well spaced and most are shady. Wi-Fi was not available at the park. Had it been available, I would have given this a 9+ rating. Rate reflects Golden Passport rate. We would definitely stay at this park again when in the area again.

This was an overnight stop. The campground has long level gravel pull thrus which allowed us to remain hitched to our 5er. There was not a lot of shade at most of the sites. Park was neat and clean. Had cable TV but had a very limited number of available channels. Wi-Fi worked well. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rate reflects Passport America rate. Please note that to get the Passport America rate you have to pay in cash. We would definitely stay here again when passing through the area.

This is a clean, quiet park handy to Charleston attractions. Most sites have some degree of shade; however, a few are directly in the sun. The sites in what I suppose is the newer section have very long compacted gravel pull throughs while some of the older sites have concrete pads which may not accommodate some longer trailers and 5ers. Please note that the entrance to the park is located on a major road and is very busy during rush hour so try to time to arrival and departure accordingly. I would have given this park an 8 if it had cable TV hookups. We would definitely stay at this park again when visiting the area.

Date of Stay:

Wonderful heavily wooded, very shaded campground with very large pull through gravel and dirt sites. RV sites are generally level and have a very large raised tent pad, fire pit and picnic table. Roads are asphalt and wind through the trees. Some very large rigs may have difficulty maneuvering through the roads in a few places so be alert. Camp hosts are doing a great job on keeping sites and roadways clean. When we were there, it appeared that the pool had not been opened yet. It is convenient to the Savannah downtown area. Wi-Fi hotspot was available at the park office. There were not a lot of washers and dryers at the campground, so if you need to do a lot of washing, you may have to wait on ocassion or go to a washateria in the area. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

This park is located within walking distance of the beach. In fact some of the sites are located just across the road running along the beach. The park has been completely rebuilt after being wiped out by Hurricane Katrina. All pads, electrical hookups, etc are new. Sites are asphalt paved and level. There are two loops which are very shaded and apparently heavily used on weekends while the remainder of the park was hardly occupied during our weekend stay. The majority of sites in the other loops are either partially shaded or unshaded. Be aware that the road running along the beach is being re-built with some sections being new and other sections still under construction and quite rough in some sections. We would stay in the park again if in the area.

Date of Stay:

This is a clean no frills park. Sites are well spaced and most are shady. Gravel pads are generally level. Laundry room is equipped with new washers and dryers but is no air conditioned. Wi-Fi worked well. The park is convenient to I-95, Camping World with several outlet malls located less than 2 miles from the campground. I would have rated this park a solid 8 had cable TV been available. Rate is good same rate for 5 people. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again when visiting St. Augustine.
