Jessie Lea RV Park, Big Stone Gap, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This small park adjoins a city park and greenway along a creek with a pedestrian drawbridge. It is a family operation run by very pleasant folk. The park is very clean an well kept, although it does get a little soggy in hard rains. Cable is available, but you have to get a cable box (loaned) from the office. Wifi worked fine. We had satellite coverage, but some sites might not. We also had good AT&T cell coverage. The pull-through sites are long enough for our toy hauler and wide enough for slides and awning. The surrounding back-in's looked to be spaced a little farther apart. There are very nice flower plantings with more on the way. We really liked this park. We camped at Jessie Lea RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Breaks Interstate Park, Breaks, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

What a beautiful place! The park is very well sited to preserve the natural surroundings. We found several sites that would accommodate our toy hauler. However, large rig owners should be aware that many of the nominally 40' sites will not accommodate a rig nearly that large. Also large rigs should choose their access route carefully. Not all routes are pleasant. We had AT&T cell coverage in the campground. There is Wifi at the lodge. We camped at Breaks Interstate Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Magnolia RV Park and Campground, Kinards, South Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Very convenient park for an overnight stay. Reasonably long and level pull-through for our toy hauler. Pleasantly treed, and reasonably quiet. AT&T cell coverage OK. Wifi worked well. No cable, and we were unable to get satellite signal because of tree coverage. Other sites might well get a signal. New fenced dog park is nice. We camped at Magnolia RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Trails End RV Park, Waynesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This park has beautiful landscaping and beautiful mountain views. It is well off the highway, so it's very quiet. Residents are mostly seasonal, and the park was mostly full when we were there. The sites still available were neither as large nor as level as those already taken. Our slides were against a tree on one side, while the awning was against a tree on the other side. Cable and Wifi worked well. We also had ATT cell coverage, not real common in the area. Rate quoted is full rate; Passport America is available weekdays. We camped at Trails End RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
