Date of Stay:

The CEO of the parent company must be pocketing a lot of money because we paid royally for a site with no view and only W/E. Previous to this we were in one of the "sister" RV parks. However, they did accommodate us with a site that had pine tree shade (and next to maintenance building) at our request. The remainder of the sites were mostly in the open dirt/dust bowl which was a big factor with high mountain winds. We had just gotten our truck and rig washed. Bummer. The place is worn down and needs lots of maintenance attention. On the good side there was a lake for kids to fish from. The park is on the Big Thompson River which was profusely flowing and enjoyable to see/hear. We would go elsewhere on our next visit to Estes Park.

Date of Stay:

The campground is not in the best of areas but seems to be secure enough. It was close to our relatives so was convenient for us. There was grass and trees, but the trees block the satellite services, and the grassy area by us had not been recently cleaned up. The pool looked beautiful as did the laundry facility, neither of which we used. The putting area is a joke ,but the kids' play area seemed nice enough. There was no exercise area for the dog unless you walked up the slope to the rear. The management was kind to escort us to our site and accommodating as well, but at the price we paid, the parent company must be hoarding the profits. At least it was better than one of its "sister" parks. We would stay at this park again for convenience. All roads and sites were paved, though some were better than others. Sites are relatively close together but trees help block.
