Cottonwoods RV Park, Columbia, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Found this place through Passport America for a one night stop while traveling. Thought it was going to be $22.00 a night instead of the $40.00. They are seasonal so they don't do discounts. Would have stopped someplace else since it was just was one night just plugging in to electric. The sites are concrete and level. Speed bump coming in to the park is a bit much. Wi-Fi works good. Didn't hook to cable so not sure about that. Bottom line, won't be back....been in better parks for a lot less cost. We camped at Cottonwoods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Texas T Campground, Cornersville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

The park is just off I-65 but you really don't notice the roadway noise with the AC running. The lots are gravel and level with some trees and has grass on both sides of the sites. Registering we were told "DO NOT PUT ANYTHING ON THE GRASS" It's highlighted on your receipt! We were visiting friends so weren't at the site other than to sleep but guess you can't grill out or do anything unless you do it in the front or back of your RV. The Wi-Fi was great and worked all the times we were there. It looks like they have three bathrooms but we didn't get to use them, they were either occupied or locked. I would stay there again since we visit friends in Spring Hill but would not if I planned on hanging around my campsite. We camped at Texas T Campground in a Motorhome.

Walnut Creek RV Park, Troy, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

The place is right off 231 south of Troy and makes an OK overnight stop. The sites are pull-in/back-out so we had to disconnect our tow car and then hook it back up after we backed out. We parked in a line of of about 16 to 18 RVs and looking out our window we saw large mobile homes being put in. A previous review stated something about student housing so it looks like they are in the process of converting from an RV park to just student housing. Cost was $17.00 cash not sure if that included tax or not. Didn't pick up any WiFi so doubt if they had it. We camped at Walnut Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lazydays RV Campground, Seffner, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Always give them a 10 rating but have to lower this time because the smokers drove us out of the pool area. Everything is excellent they just have a lot of inconsiderate people staying there. One table was full of stuff and no one around stopping people from using it and enjoying the pool.

Great place to stay, you just have to put up with the other people, lots of inconsiderate people out there and they have started getting into the RV rank and file. Guess that's anyplace anymore too bad. Still would stay here again. We camped at Lazydays RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Bluewater Key RV Resort, Key West, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $135.00
Overall Rating:

This is a super park which has sites that are privately owned and rented out. We had a tiki hut with TV, refrigerator, and ice maker. Also dining table and couch and chairs. We were on the water with a private boat dock and a swim ladder. Only 14 miles to Key West. The staff was great and assisted in parking and hooking up. Although it was pricey it was worth the extra cost. Would stay again. We camped at Bluewater Key RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Radium Valley Vacation Resort, Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here as part of a tour so not sure about the price. Overall the campground is great. Gravel sites with some slope to them. Wood decks or wood covered buildings at each camp site with a gas grill. Some sites look like they could be very tight getting into but ours was fine. Everything worked great to include the cable and internet. Located in a valley with nice mountain views. The Rec center is nice with a heated indoor pool and spa. Appears to be a timeshare park so not sure availability of regular camping. We camped at Radium Valley Vacation Resort in a Motorhome.

Blackwell Island RV Park, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed a total of four nights as part of a tour group. The sites were level with grass on both sides. Had good water pressure and 50 amp service. They have cable but there was so much static you couldn't watch it. They say they have internet and we were able to get on it for about 5 minutes the whole time we were there, very frustrating. Ended up using our Phone as a hotspot to get internet service. Very nice park and dog friendly and you can tell by the piles laying around. Even though the location is great we would stay someplace else if we ever got in the area again. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The down town area is great with lots of shopping and places to eat. One restaurant is with in walking distance of the park and located on the water.

Three Flags RV Park, Black Hawk, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed there 4 nights. Site was level and gravel, parking was close but not too close. WiFi worked perfect and so did the cable TV. Park is over looking interstate 90 but really didn't hear much traffic at night. Water pressure was low but we could work around that. Close to state and national parks and area attractions. Would stay there again if passing through the area. We camped at Three Flags RV Park in a Motorhome.

Kan-Do Campground & RV Park, Montgomery City, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed in the park for one night. Just wanted a place to plug into and drain the tanks and check e-mail. No Cable and no TV reception. WiFi was hit or miss, mostly miss. Site was fairly level and mostly dirt and gravel, it was raining so it was muddy. Had to use 40 feet of drain line to reach the septic connection but we were towing a car and it was a pull through and that's what we requested. We camped at Kan-Do Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tifton KOA, Tifton, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

OK for an overnight stop. About a mile from the interstate so not much road noise. You did hear a couple trains during the night but not bad overall. Had a pull-in site that was level and had slow Wi-Fi (must be a KOA thing) but cable worked fine and power was good. Pool wasn't open and lots of flying insects so we didn't do our normal walk. Grass pad but had a concrete area with the picnic table. A mix of seasonal campers were there and a couple used the grass next to our site to let the dog do it's business. Didn't see them pick it up either so watch were you step. Might stop there again but lots of other parks so might look around traveling down 75. We camped at Tifton KOA in a Motorhome.

Battlefield Campground & RV Park (formerly Lookout Mt/Chatt South KOA), Ringgold, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are gravel and mostly level with a fire ring (5 or 6 rocks in a circle). You do park on a slope when checking in and the road needs repair so you have to go very slow. Cable did work and so did the Wi-Fi, but very slow. The biggest problem was the road noise from I-75. You could see the trucks and cars on the interstate between the trees from our campsite. Impossible to carry on a normal conversation outside and even two AC units running doesn't drown out all the noise. We won't camp there again and will be more selective of parks adjacent to major highways. We camped at Battlefield Campground & RV Park (formerly Lookout Mt/Chatt South KOA) in a Motorhome.

Long's Retreat Family Resort, Latham, Ohio

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Site was grass and clay and it was raining so lots of mud. Getting there is an adventure, curvy 2 lane roads. No cell reception, tv, wifi. Lots of permanent sites and you can hear people talking and radios playing(or cds). They have lots of stuff for kids but shut down Oct 1st. Doubt we would stay there again. Geared more for full time seasonal folks. We camped at Long's Retreat Family Resort in a Motorhome.

Medina / Wildwood Lake KOA, Medina, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects a 1000 trails discount. Sites were level, gravel, and included a fire ring and picnic table. We had an open view of the lake and had a pull in spot. Only 3 to 4 RV's were in the pull in spots so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Cable, power and sewer were great. Supposed to have free wifi but spent more time trying to connect than actually using it. Spaces were kind of close and we smoked out the neighbors with our fire..and we also got the same treatment. Close to Niagara falls, about 40 miles and no traffic on most of the roads. Would stay again. We camped at Medina / Wildwood Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails, Trenton, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects a discount from 1000 Trails. This is an Encore park and not bad, kind of a weird layout, first pull in (back out) park we have stayed at. Had 50 amp, water, sewer, and cable. Wi-Fi was available at the Rec Center for free. Close to Bar Harbor. Sites were fairly level and the park was not busy at all when we stayed...half full at best. Light at entrance makes easy access and lobster pounds were close, as well as an IGA for supplies. Had some sites on the water and pull-throughs, but we were on a discounted rate so weren't that lucky. Would stay there again if we came back to Maine. Our rig is 38' long. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Moody Beach RV Campground, Wells, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 5 nights visiting family. Sites are gravel and somewhat level. Cable and Wi-Fi are extra ($16 and $15 a week). Large park with some seasonal campers and cabins. Small store that has food and supplies but expensive. Off US 1 and lots of traffic so can be a challenge to make a left turn out. Some sites are tight and you can't open your awning. Lots of trees so a roof mounted satellite might not work, saw lots of portable ones around. Lots of kids around and activities for them. Doubt if we would stay here again. We camped at Moody Beach RV Campground in a Motorhome.
