Hickory Knob State Resort Park, McCormick, South Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We booked on line and thought the sites on the water would be nice as it said all sites would accommodate our 32 ft motorhome. We booked site 10 and the woman at check in recommended we take our car in first to make sure we liked the site and could fit. She gave us an alternative site in case we did not like our choice. Good thing because the waterfront sites were out and out scary. Very narrow with a drop off down to the lake. We camped at Hickory Knob State Resort Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Go to resort office to pick up info and car tag upon arriving. Signs are very small and not helpfull. Go past sign for camping and on to the resort office that is about 3 miles beyond campground. Shower could use some bleach (mildew on curtain). No privacy curtain between the two showers. Would search out a different campground if we came back to the area. Looked at Baker Creek and that was a terrible campground.

Whittington Woods Campground, Whittington, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Nicely treed campground with very friendly owner and staff. Gave us 4 eggs from their chickens upon arrival. Husband said for me to take shower in camper as you had to push a button in shower and it was measured. Then you had to push it again to resume. We camped at Whittington Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

Milton/Madison SE KOA (formerly Hidden Valley RV Resort & Campground), Milton, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground with immaculate facilities. We ate at the campground and it was pretty good. We had the fish and shrimp basket with fries. Check in was easy and friendly staff. This was just an overnight but we did notice noise from the highway but not enough to disturb us. We camped at Milton/Madison SE KOA (formerly Hidden Valley RV Resort & Campground) in a Motorhome.

Bismarck KOA, Bismarck, North Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was very helpful and took us to our site. Sites were packed gravel and level. KOA's are expensive as we only use them on occasion for an overnight. Did not use the facilities so could not rate. Nicely treed lots with some bushes. Near the highway and was easy to find. Noise from the road did not bother us. We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Walmart very close for stocking up. Pretty campground. Didn't seem like much going on but maybe this was because it was a Sunday. Not much to say except expensive for an overnight.

St. Mary Campground (NPS Campground), Glacier National Park, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This was dry camping and since we were in a motor home it was no problem. The showers and restroom were very clean. The campground was smoke filled because of all the fires. It rained and snowed our last nig ht. What a beautiful view of the mountains when we woke up. To bad we had to leave. We camped at St. Mary Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Cowboy RV Park, Pocatello, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This was a wonderful, clean campground. The bathroom and showers were extraordinarily clean and modern. The only problem was the pull thru sites were not really pull thru's. They were double sites and we had a unit in front of us so we had to disconnect. We only stayed overnight. We camped at Cowboy RV Park in a Motorhome.

Billings Village RV Park, Billings, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very clean quiet park in the middle of the city. We stayed here so we could drop off our friends at the airport. We are staying here on our return trip from Glacier Natl Park. We did our laundry here and used the showers. Very, very clean. We camped at Billings Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Albertsons grocery store was wonderful. Use it instead of Walmart for groceries.

Battle Mountain City RV Park, Battle Mountain, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here overnight and instructions were great for an overnight stay. All the overnight sites were marked. Very level gravel sites. Extremely clean and pleasant campground. Small trees growing at each site made it feel homey. Excellent fast free wifi. We camped at Battle Mountain City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Flagstaff KOA, Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We were on a site with only water and electricity. Sites were very narrow and we felt packed in. Gravel sites and not very level. We're surprised it was KOA sanctioned. Overpriced for what you get but that is typical KOA. We were in an emergency situation because of a problem with our toad. We would never stay here again, given a choice. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

North Fork Resort, Front Royal, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in C section. Sites are pull thru but extremely narrow. Not wide enough if you have slide and an awning. Very poor tv reception. WiFi is an additional cost. Do NOT purchase. Cost $3/day or 3 day for $5. Purchased 3 day plan got to use for day and a half. Spoke to office gave me a free day but the WiFi came up and then quit for the last 3 days of my stay. When it was up the connection were very very slow. We camped at North Fork Resort in a Motorhome.
