Salish Seaside RV Haven (formerly Westbay Marine Village RV Park) , Victoria, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

First off, this is not in a quiet rural setting. The park itself is quite beautiful, very modern, with nice wide level spaces. Good utilities, and very clean. The staff still seems to be on a bit of a learning curve due to the recent remodel and change of ownership. If you have anything other than a motor coach, better make sure you have an extra power cord and water hose because the hookups are on the opposite sides and to the front of the site. Same with the sewer. There's a lot of noise from dawn to dusk from float planes and helicopters landing and taking off, but you sort of get used to it. We camped at Salish Seaside RV Haven (formerly Westbay Marine Village RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Victoria is a big city, with big city noise. It's only about a 5 minute drive to downtown, so very conveniently located.

Crystal Cove Resort and RV Park, Tofino, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

This might be the nicest park we've ever stayed in. Immaculate grounds, beautifully landscaped. Level, private sites with good electric, sewer, and water. Easy access to the beach and the highway into town. Friendly, helpful, and welcoming staff. Out site was a litle tight getting into, but one of the staff was available to help me back in. We camped at Crystal Cove Resort and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Where to begin? 1909 restaurant in town, delicious! Chocolate Tofino, don't miss it! Great chocolates and gelato. The Summit Bread Co., great baked goods! Take your pick of beaches nearby, they're all beautiful. Don't forget to visit Ucluelet and walk the Wild Pacific Trail.

Riverbend Cottage & RV Resort, Parksville, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Based on the previous review we really had our hopes up for this place. We were quite disappointed. The wifi was terrible, when it worked. The laundry room was okay, but one of the washers didn't work. When the wife told the fellow in the office to maybe put an out of order sign on it, he said no because sometimes it worked. Really? Just looking around the park there were a lot of repairs needed. There were a lot of permanent residents staying there, most of them in well-maintained rigs. Quite a bit of road noise from 19A, and also a gun range nearby which got quite annoying. We camped at Riverbend Cottage & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Seal Bay RV Park & Campground, Courtenay, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a couple of weeks, got the weekly rate (canadian dollars). Lovely park, spacious sites, lots of foliage, friendly staff. The only improvement they could make would be more trash receptacles. They're few and far between. We camped at Seal Bay RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Mount Vernon RV Park, Mount Vernon, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 4 nights prior to catching the ferry out of Anacortes. Nicely kept park, wide, level spaces with lots of trees for shade, grassy areas in between. A lot of full time residents, but they were friendly and neat. There's quite a bit of train traffic nearby, but you get used to it. Conveniently located near Burlington for shopping. Lots of produce stands in the area if you want fresh fruit and veggies. The review posted from May 2018 was incorrect, should have been for the Thousand Trails campground in Bow. There's no casino here. We camped at Mount Vernon RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bellingham RV Park, Bellingham, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed here numerous times over the years and the place is showing its age. A lot of permanent residents with rundown RVs, dead or dying landscaping. Zero trees for shade. Like the other reviews stated, this ain't no destination, simply a place to stay the night while you're enroute to somewhere else. It's a shame, because the Bellingham area has a lot to offer. We camped at Bellingham RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Lovely park near a lake. Wide, fairly level spaces with plenty of room between. Staff was friendly, the grounds well maintained. Spotty cell service, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. WiFi was a bit irregular, but adequate. Great kayaking on Silver Lake. We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Ended up staying here due to a mixup at another park. The staff was helpful, welcoming, and friendly. When we had a problem with the 30A service at our site, they sent someone to fix it right away. Nice grounds, tidy and clean. We camped at Premier RV Resort of Salem Oregon in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $61.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed one night, and it was December so there weren't the usual crowds. Check in was easy, staff courteous and efficient. Site was reasonably level & spacious. The previous camper must have had a problem dumping his black tank though, as there was waste on the ground. We camped at San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds, Trinidad, California

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We were originally going to stay in one of the back-in spaces by the "duck pond" but it was a bit too tight for comfort. We chose instead to use a large pull through site nearby which was just great. This is a very tidy, well-maintained park. The grounds are nicely landscaped, and the residents friendly. They also enforce the rules, which was a nice change of pace. No loud noise, no obnoxious pets. We will definitely be back! We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Manchester Beach / Mendocino Coast KOA, Manchester, California

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

This is a typical KOA, oriented towards family camping. Since this was towards the end of summer, there were lots of families, with lots of kids, and way too many dogs. Off season this would be much nicer. The spaces are large and reasonably level, with lots of trees. Staff keeps the place clean. Close to the beach. We camped at Manchester Beach / Mendocino Coast KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
