Mama Gertie's Hideaway Campground, Swannanoa, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful, well-maintained. Super-friendly staff. Shaded and open sites. We stayed in the highest elevation sites with fantastic view, with sites that are pull-through and very level. Paved roads. Very nice fire pits. Wi-Fi was adequate and reliable, if a bit slow. Enjoyed our stay so much we extended it. Many attractions nearby. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Mama Gertie's Hideaway Campground in a Motorhome.

The Great Outdoors RV Resort, Franklin, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Very well kept. Extremely clean facilities, especially restrooms. Friendly staff. Great pool. Lots of CG-sponsored events at no charge. I would give this CG a "10" if the Wi-Fi were better--it varies from unavailable to good. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Cypress Camping Resort, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with about a dozen sites that have Intracoastal Waterway waterfront sites. Concrete pads for all sites. Friendly, attentive staff. Nice pool. Only negatives are mediocre Wi-Fi and poor sewer connections. This is the only CG I've ever used where ALL the sewer connections are raised above ground level by approximately 12". It makes emptying your stinky slinky a major chore. We camped at Cypress Camping Resort in a Motorhome.
