We arrived with reservations in a VERY HEAVY RAIN. The volunteer host suggested that we wait a few minutes for the rain shower to end. After a 30 minute wait, the host lead us to the site. It was a very difficult site for a 5th wheel to back into. The host stayed with me as I backed into the site. Although experienced in backing, I did not have much room in the front to move the truck over. He was very careful to watch as I adjusted my location. As a volunteer host, he was the best. The road going through the park are paved, but there are trees near the road. I had no problem driving the one way street, but it does require caution and experience for a big rig. The garbage dumpster was overflowing (Easter Weekend with a full camp). The ranger drove a dump truck to the dumpster to prevent garbage being scattered everywhere. This proved to me that the staff have pride in the facility. This is an ideal campground for a family with a smaller trailer for a week vacation. We would probably not use this location again because of the distance driving to our relation in the area. If it were not for the driving distance, we would have no hesitation to return to Henry Horton and the beautiful woods, deer, and scenic environment.

This park knows customer service. Free USA Today, Free Popcorn, escort to site, and easy entrance and exit. After we were totally set up for the night, I discovered that the cable television did not work. I walked back to the office and the lady offered me an additional cable to connect to the next site. When I sorted through my supplies, I discovered that I had a second cable and a junction box. Connected to the next site for television without a problem. When I returned with the cable, the registration lady had already prepared a work order to fix the site for the next visitor. The sites are large and do not require unhooking a 5th wheel or a motor home. There is minimal traffic noise, good water and sewer, and excellent power service. This park should be a model for all other rv parks. Concrete pads that are level and drained, open space, and a nice area to walk after a long day of driving. I did not give it a 10 because of the lack of activities, pool, exercise facility, etc. These services are not important to me returning from 3 months in South Florida. They may make a difference for a family with children.

This is the first time that we have stayed at this park. The park has many long term units at the rear of the park. They were VERY NEAT in appearance. The owner told me that he does not tolerate poor behavior or trash appearance. The sites in the front were used by the single day visitor. They were very acceptable for a one night stand. The roads and the sites could have some improvement with additional stone and grading. The owner was very friendly and lead us to our site. He also was very careful that our slides were not obstructed by the pedestal or trees. This is not our normal distance going to and from South Florida, but we would stay here again if it fits our time schedule. You do not need to unhook a 5th wheel or a motorhome tow vehicle. The sites are long and allow for easy entrance and exit.

This fine county park is a hidden gem in West Central Ohio. You are near a major highway and only about 3 miles from the center of Lima, but you feel like you are far away from civilization. Yes, you will hear an occasional train whistle or the distant sound of traffic, but it is so peaceful. Room to be by yourself or to socialize with neighbors. We have been coming to this park for the past 10 years. They did loose all of the trees to the Emerald Ash Bore, but the new trees are starting to develop limited shade. Although there is no sewer connection, the dump station is slopped for easy usage. There are 6, 50 amp sites. Ask the host for their location. Several also have gray drain so that you can run your laundry and not fill the tanks.

This park has 2 nice meeting rooms to handle multiple camping clubs at the same time. The park is excellent for larger units. The entrance road and roads within the park are not high quality. Once you unhook and examine the entire facility, you quickly learn that this is a better facility than the roads. I would not stay here for the summer, but it is a very nice park for a short visit to Amish Country.

Riverside just added 149 super sites to the existing 350 sites. The new laundry, shower, and restrooms are now open. 100% ceramic tile walls and floors. The wired internet and limited cable is now available without charge (only in the premium sites). The lakes offer views, fishing, and no neighbors behind your site. The snowbirds are the most friendly of any park in Florida. The activity schedule will keep everyone involved. Pot Lucks, Dances, Educational Classes, Physical Activities, Pickle Ball, etc. are schduled throughout the winter. We have watched the facility change through the years and still have Riverside our favorite park in the nation. You will not be disappointed.

The park is located only a short distance from I-75. There is 1 section that is reserved for short term visitors and the much larger area for snowbirds. This park is very neat and attractive. Even though we arrived around 4 PM, the office was closed for the day. Very detailed instructions were provided to select the appropriate site for the evening -- pay in the morning. The park is located in a small city environment, but many restaurants, WalMart, and other services are within walking distance. The exercise room, laundry, and activity center were very neat and attractive. We were truly impressed with the entire park. The rate reflects Passport America and was a BARGAIN. The monthly and seasonal rates are significantly lower than those in the SW Florida area. The only reason that I checked a 9 instead of 10 is that the transient lots are very near your neighbor.

Location, location, location. Many of the sites are located adjacent to the Ohio River. You can sit in your RV and watch the river traffic. The sites are very large with good service. Rest rooms are also adequate. The park is adding another 50 sites by spring. We like this park because of the casino and the river traffic. There are activities for children. Six weekends of Halloween Parties.

This is a very nice campground that is located about 1 mile from the Markland Dam and the crossing into Kentucky. The nightly rate is far more than other parks in the area. We were there as a camping group and had a great experience. The park is a perfect location for the NASCAR Races at Kentucky Speedway. It is also good for a group rally. I would not stay here as an individual because of the excess cost.

This park has the cleanest and best designed shower rooms that we have ever seen. A beautiful swimming pool and a great office staff that are very helpful. They have a significant drainage problem. Sites near the lake really get waterlogged after a rain. The paved roads need major repair. All related to the drainage issues.

This is a very good (no make it great) pit stop for snowbirds going south. I understand that they also have many rally activities that use the park. The office staff greet you at your unit. Assist you in parking, and THEN invite you to the office to complete paperwork after you are settled. What a novel idea!!!! We will continue to use this park for our annual snowbird trips to and from Florida. The rate cited reflects a Passport America discount.

Location, Location, Location. The park is within a few miles of The Villages. It is close to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. The office staff and the pavilion were great. The roads and general maintenance were good. The sites were fairly large. There were no pads, no picnic tables, etc. Just grass and sand with the normal pedestal connections. We will stay here again only because of the proximity to The Villages. Our rate reflected a Passport America discount.

This is an excellent location. Unfortunately, the owners are just not involved. The park is operated by work campers. They are outstanding, but do not have the authority to make the necessary changes. The park has a significant number of PERMANENT residents. The sites are very shabby and not neat. The park recently converted to KOA to increase revenue. The need to spend money to improve the entire park. It has gone done hill year after year. Changing to KOA does not solve the basic problem. Roads are rough, sites are rough and very small. The utilities and WIFI are decent and usable. We have stayed in this park for the last time.

This is an outstanding park. There has always been a large wait list for the winter months. 150 new sites are under construction and will be available by Sept. 2013. The park needs to add additional laundry, swimming, and support facilities to continue the 10 rating. Many are concerned about the rates increasing faster than the economy. Great staff, activities, and location in the country, but near restaurants, shopping, etc.

This is a great campground for our I-75 travels to and from Florida. They encourage you to park, connect, and then come into the office for the paperwork. This is a VERY POSITIVE act of kindness when you and your navigator are very tired. We like this park, the staff, and the location very much. We will continue to use this park for our I75 travels. Rate reflects Passport America discount.
