Red River Ranch RV Resort, Thackerville, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for one night on our way to San Antonio. We never actually met/saw the owners as we arrived after hours and left before they opened on Sunday. They had a dropbox for payments, which was convenient. It's an older park, but very well kept. The sites are on gravel, but fairly level and very quiet. We would stay here again. We camped at Red River Ranch RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Traders Village RV Park, Houston, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

For being next to a flea market, this campground is very well kept and quiet. There are a lot of 'permanent' RVers here who were helpful. The Wi-Fi service used is very frustrating and basically non-existent. Pool was fine, but the playground needs updating - only a swing set with 2 swings - disappointing. Most of the sites are pull through on concrete pads. Overall, I would stay here again. We camped at Traders Village RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

San Antonio KOA, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We recently stayed in this park on a trip to Texas. After this stay, it is now at the top of my park experiences! The staff was very friendly and helpful - they found us a spot closer to the park for our younger children. It was very quiet and the workers were diligent in keeping the park clean. The bathrooms were some of the best I've seen at an RV park thus far. It has a secure gated access. The playground was excellent - tons for the kids to do including pedal carts to rent by the 1/2 hour or hour. The pool was great. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Mustang Island State Park, Port Aransas, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This park is great from the point that it is extremely accessible to the Gulf - just a short drive or walk away; however, it is pretty bare bones - just the bare essentials. While the restrooms and showers were clean, they are pretty old and in need of updating. The park staff is very friendly and it was quiet overall. If you want to find a site close to the beach and do not really care about anything else, this is your spot! We camped at Mustang Island State Park in a Travel Trailer.
