Triple J RV Park, Russell, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access from interstate. Walking distance from a restaurant and bar. Nice playground. Easy pull-through. Very windy part of Kansas, but constant breeze helped with temp over 100. Clean bathroom with enclosed shower, toilet and sink all in one room just like home...but only one for each gender. Courteous people at the front desk. Only took a few minutes from walking into office before we were led to our (nice and flat) spot and were hooked up. A little dusty, but good over-night stay and would stop here again. We camped at Triple J RV Park in a Motorhome.

This appeared to be the closest campground to Mammoth Caves which was very convenient. Staff was friendly and courteous. Everything was as advertised. Clean facilities, friendly staff and family-friendly atmosphere. We camped at Diamond Caverns RV Resort and Golf in a Motorhome.

Lakeside Recreational Resort, Assaria, Kansas

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nothing as advertised. Restrooms, showers, and laundry were locked. The pool and water slide had no water. Picnic tables and pieces heaped together under one tree. Nasty standing water in the water hookup area. Their web site lists numerous amenities, but you'll find nothing but the barest of basics. We camped at Lakeside Recreational Resort in a Motorhome.
