Allison Campground, Galesburg, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park. Had a reserved spot but when we pulled in, the family next to us had an annoying bird there making noise. The camp host led us to our spot and heard the bird also. We didn't even unhook and I asked to move. No problem, he led us to a concrete handicap spot near the office. Very friendly and helpful. We camped at Allison Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Rock Cut State Park, Loves Park, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Our breaker blew 4 times within the first 2 hours of arriving. We had to get the camp host each time to correct problem. Turns out you cannot have A/C and microwave or a lamp on at the same time! We had to put our refrigerator and water heater on propane the entire time to prevent power failure. We paid $20 a night to use up our own propane. Shaded spot but only slept there at night and left the park during the day. Very disappointing! We camped at Rock Cut State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Camped here our very first night after purchasing our new fifth wheel. Nice park and lots to do, restaurant, fishing, boating. Nice shaded spots. We camped at Johnson-Sauk Trail State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
