Glen and Myra's Lodge and RV Park, Seymour, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice owners and campground. Sites are gravel and ours was perfectly level. Sewer connections are behind the electrical plug area, which is a good idea but our discharge is toward the front of our trailer. I do not know if there was a shower/restroom facility. We camped at Glen and Myra's Lodge and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Talkeetna Camper Park, Talkeetna, Alaska

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was a pull through, and the staff worked with us when we were too long for the site first assigned to us. The rest of the sites looked really tight and at all different angles. It was really tight when we were leaving. We did see a black bear near by while we were walking our dog. We camped at Talkeetna Camper Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Teklanika Campground (NPS Campground), Denali National Park, Alaska

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed our stay in this campground. It was nice and quiet, and had wonderful hiking opportunities. There is a Forest ranger presentation every night which was informative and interesting. Right now they are working on fixing the plumbing for the toilets since it was messed up with an ice flow this winter. They did have porta-potties available. We camped at Teklanika Campground (NPS Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Cantwell RV Park, Cantwell, Alaska

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice level sites but very close together. Our slides were very close to the other people next to us. We could not put out our awning because it would have hung over into the next site. The staff here was friendly and helpful. We camped at Cantwell RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground. There would be very few places for a large motorhome. We enjoyed our stay here very much. We camped at Riley Creek Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

River's Edge Resort, Fairbanks, Alaska

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was a pull through but very tight for our truck and trailer. Our neighbors sewer was about 6 feet from our door. There were planes taking off and landing at the airport nearby. The RV park is near the college and Pioneer Park. We would probably opt for a less crowded place next time. We camped at River's Edge Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Stoney Creek RV Park, Seward, Alaska

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

When we made reservations online last November, we reserved a site with a full hookup. When we arrived however our site was not a full hookup. I highly recommend calling the park instead of depending on the online reservation system to get what you want. Also the wireless internet was not working while we were there. Another guest asked the management about it and was told it should be working. The park is nice and clean in a beautiful setting, but we were disappointed in not getting the sites we thought we had reserved. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Northern Nights RV Campground, Glennallen, Alaska

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground. Sites are not level. Bathrooms are clean but Showers are metered. Dump station is on the exit road so can cause a line if several want to leave at the same time. Main complaint we had which hosts have no control over was the mosquitos, that is just Glenallen. We camped at Northern Nights RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Bayside RV Park, Valdez, Alaska

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

The rate of $29 is for up to 3 people. For my family of four we had to pay an extra $3 per night for one of our kids. The restrooms and showers are very nice but there are only two. They have cable hook-up. Hosts are friendly. Sites are a little close together but we would stay here again over the other places in town. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice forest service campground on Kenai Lake. Paved roads, paved and gravel sites. Some flush and some latrine type toilets. There is a public boat dock in the campground and there is a dump station across the road from the campground. We camped at Quartz Creek Campground (Chugach National Forest) in a Travel Trailer.

Porcupine Campground - USFS, Hope, Alaska

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Restrooms are latrine type toilets. A big rig could have parked in the site we were in (#4) but that is about the only site big enough to accommodate a big rig. There is a nice hiking trail that heads out of the campground that is 5.1 miles one way with lots of nice scenery. The town of Hope is a short bike ride or walk away (about 2 miles). We camped at Porcupine Campground - USFS in a Travel Trailer.

Seward Waterfront Park, Seward, Alaska

This is a great campground, there seems to always be a sea lions or otter swimming right outside of your trailer. We camped at Seward Waterfront Park in a Travel Trailer.
