San Jacinto Riverfront RV Park, Highlands, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We called and had a reservation, however no one at the front desk told us that the entrance road was down to one lane and very tight to get into. I get that they are fixing the road, but tell people that when they call and warn them of the construction. CAUTION!! If you use a GPS Garmin to navigate to this location and it tells you to go to HARRIS St to get into the park DO NOT GO DOWN THIS STREET. DEAD END! LOW POWER WIRES WILL HIT YOUR RIG!.. USE MAIN ST for access to park.. Look for sign. The place got great reviews so that is why I picked this place for the one night stay. However the sites were okay, the park is VERY Crowded. We walked around the park and were disgusted to see the long term trailers doing whatever they wanted. Freezers, gear all over, cages, grills, furniture, grass was not cut, and it smelled bad. Then early in the mornings its like a TRACTOR PULL going on, all of the long term oil workers leaving for work with diesel trucks loud and making sure you knew they were leaving. I would not recommend this place We camped at San Jacinto Riverfront RV Park in a Motorhome.

French Quarter RV Resort, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

Well if you want to be in downtown New Orleans this is the place. I will caution you, not in the best area of town. Right out the front gate to the left less than a mile is a HOMELESS encampment. Right out the front gate abandon building we saw strange homeless people hanging around. The site is really nice, but its not worth $100 a night, we stayed because of the distance to downtown. Only 5 blocks from Bourbon St. Checking in was awkward, the receptionist was like if you want down town its 5 blocks but if you stay after dark take a cab back because its not a good area to walk back through. SCARY.... Wife was a little wigged out about the location and homeless and the uneasy feeling. The sites are nice and level, power is good really had no issues with the park. Getting into the park if you use a GPS be cautious if you come off the I-10 going west, it will dump you off and your GPS will take you behind the park, and you have to go around the block, if you have a large motor home its challenging going down St.Louis Street.. Hopefully no tour bus comes at you.. Someone will have to give! However this RV park is not work $100 and is not a 10 rating.. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Capital City RV Park, Montgomery, Alabama

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Wow, where to start! We stayed 2 weeks at this location, due to not many RV parks in this location. The place is very nice and the sites are well maintained and equipped. The roads that go around the sites and the park are VERY CONFUSING. If you don't abide by the directions, the Owner's SON will make sure he lets you know you went down the street the wrong way. Everyone does it. We had visitors and they did the same thing due to its confusing and the Owners SON stopped at our site and made sure we corrected it. Rules! I get Rules! but this place is a little over the top, they say Pet Friendly, and yes they have a great pet park, but don't let your dog do its business anywhere other than the park. Oh yeah NO BAGS provided, they have a nice dog park but no trash can near the dog park to put the waste. Back to rules, they have all these rules about keeping our site clean etc. They have a lot of workers staying long term in the park, well they have lockers, freezers, tires etc around the sites, but they say nothing to the long term payers, only the daily payers. The park is very nice, but the Owners go over a little overboard on the rules, I get they want it nice..I agree but how about dog bags, treat everyone with respect.. If you stay, ABIDE by the rules or you will get a visit from the owners son. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Oak Creek RV Park, Weatherford, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this location on a trip east. This location is right off the I-20. Easy access in and out. A very nice RV park in a good location. I would recommend to anyone visiting this area. The only issue we had was when the office staff took us to our site they had us turn around right by the office and it was too tight of a turn and we had to drive through a open site right by the office, was happy to have to drive thru the grass. However the sites were very nice, very big. Park has a awesome pool. Some full timers on the premise; however, they did not have the cleanest of sites, really took away from the nice park. Would I recommend this place.. Yes, very nice, very good location, staff outstanding, sites great. We camped at Oak Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pavilion RV Park, West Monroe, Louisiana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this location for a one night stop. I was really unsure of what we were going to get from reading the reviews, and looking at the place online, but hey it was a one night stay. The site is not much to look at! but I will say this, the staff was friendly and receptive when I pulled in, and it was pouring rain. The park is nothing special and have a bunch of long term old campers. All were friendly. The spots are gravel and nothing to speak of, the roads are tight and have a narrow turn but is manageable with a guide. I would recommend this place for a one night stay if you are in the area. We camped at Pavilion RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mountain View RV Park, Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park for on a one night stay heading east on a trip. The site is easy to find and right off the I-10. The park is wide open all gravel RV park. The staff in the office was very nice, and was ready for us upon arrival. Good power, no complaints. Good easy access to connections. This is a great location for one night stops or a place to stop on your trips. I would Recommend! The site are 80+ feet long and the power and water is very good. No issues at all with this park. We stayed in a motor home. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Butterfield RV Resort & Observatory, Benson, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed at this site one night when heading east! The campground is located in a good area, not too far off the I-10. Checked in on a reservation I made a few week prior to the trip and they were ready for us when we showed up. The park is in good condition and well maintained. It had a few full timers and the rigs were old. The sites are okay for a small to medium size motor home. We have a large motorhome 43' and we fit front to back in the site. The sites are not really level the slope on each end of the site, but its okay. Overall good place, very friendly people in the office. I would stay here again if I was passing through again. We camped at Butterfield RV Resort & Observatory in a Motorhome.
