Crystal Cove Resort and RV Park, Tofino, British Columbia

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed here a number of times over the years and with this visit they continue to please. This year they've upgraded their WiFi and it's almost always astoundingly fast - even during 'busy' times. Which is rare in RV parks. The only downside to this park are the clean, but very cold shower rooms. They don't heat them so it's unpleasant showering in a room which is only about 14 degrees. But the showers are free, and there's lots of water to warm up a little. Beautiful grounds, most sites offering rather good privacy, quiet, and astounding service continues. I'd give them a rating of ten, except for the cold shower rooms! Highly recommended. We camped at Crystal Cove Resort and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cottonwood RV Park, Bluff, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 5 nights over the Memorial Day long weekend. Gravel lots, many with some shade. Great views of the surrounding countryside. The owner lady is enthusiastic and provides detailed information about sights to see in the area. The washrooms are kept very clean. Noise from the road is almost non existent, and the nights amazingly quiet. Wifi signal weak, have to go near the office to pick up. Be aware that: if no one is in the office, you arrive in the later afternoon, and you haven't made a reservation, she usually returns to the office around six in the evening till nine. Highly recommend this RV park. We camped at Cottonwood RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Black Sandy State Park, Helena, Montana

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I'm sorry to say that this park was a huge disappointment. We arrived anticipating trees and semi private spaces, like most national parks. The sites are side by side with no separation, and not many trees. Sites were gravel with a fire ring and picnic table. There was no feeling like being in a national park at all. Proximity to the lake would, I suppose make it good for people with kids, or those fishing. We camped at Black Sandy State Park in a Travel Trailer.

For people who are thinking that this park will give them a sense of being 'in nature,' perhaps consider finding another location.

Cowboy RV Park, Pocatello, Idaho

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Tidy RV park. Very friendly staff at check in, clean grounds and washrooms. Many sites had some shade. Amazingly fast wifi, the desk staff actually suggested streaming movies. You can hear the freeway traffic at night, though it's not terribly loud. Some of the sites made for difficult sideways leveling and we had to move from the first one to another. Stayed for the night as passing through. Would stay here again. We camped at Cowboy RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Blue Cut RV Park, Helper, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The previous submission by 'newbies' says it all and we agree completely with their review. This is a basic RV park, no restrooms, though the laundry facilities were open (we didn't use them). The owner is very knowledgeable about the area and will provide wonderful information. A good base to explore Moab area. I recommend this park. We camped at Blue Cut RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Desert Trails RV Park (40+ park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

The snowbirds had left, we had the park virtually to ourselves (so this is a review for the park off season only). As a result we had unobstructed wonderful views of the surrounding park, and amazing quiet. WiFI was really good (but then we were the only one's there) It's about 20 min from Tuscon, other shopping closer. If you're wanting solitude, this park, in off season, is a great deal! We camped at Desert Trails RV Park (40+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

The Canyon Motel & RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Unfortunately, the noise at night really made our experience at this park unpleasant. We sleep with windows open and the constant noise from the freeway (it's a major thoroughfare for cross country semi traffic) was among the worst we've experienced in years of RV'ing. Train traffic just added to the poor sleep. The park description about being surrounded by Ponderosa pines is misleading. We did pay for the 'premium' spot which had some trees beside it, however there are only a very few of these spots available. The majority of spaces are simple spaces on open gravel with no shade. This is not reflected in the website pics. The staff, however, are delightful and friendly, the restrooms very clean, and the wifi surprisingly strong (always nice to be able to look at emails without getting frustrated at poor connections). If freeway noise doesn't bother one, then this is good value. A suggestion - reserve ahead! We dropped in last minute, were lucky, and got one of the very few remaining sites. The Grand Canyon's a major tourist draw and spaces for RV's limited. We camped at The Canyon Motel & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Cocopah Bend RV and Golf Resort, Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Passport America makes this a great deal. We arrived in low season so had our pick of sites. We were put at the edge of one of the greens. I can see the concern of golf balls hitting the RV, given that most of the houses beside the greens have protective screens over their windows. However, the only other options are a large gravel lot in the 'pet friendly' area. Though you can hear the freeway across the river, it's a faint roar and it's nice to have green spaces around one. Much nicer than many of the RV parks right in Yuma. Check in staff and grounds staff incredibly friendly. Showers immaculate. Nice pool area. Pleasant walking about the resort. Cell reception is sketchy. No wi fi offered. We spent three nights here. We camped at Cocopah Bend RV and Golf Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Arizona Oasis RV Resort , Ehrenberg, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Passport America 50% discount makes this a good deal. pros: friendly, efficient staff - absolutely delightful! Clean showers, clean grounds. On the river cons: really just a huge parking lot with almost no shade. With the exception of the river side premium sites, you'll be on gravel staring at more gravel. The beach area is a disappointment, with it resembling more of a dirt patch by the water with some trees, no sand, some grass. Originally, we'd looked forward to being here, by the river. The beach area just isn't inviting enough to keep one at the park for an extended period. We camped at Arizona Oasis RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

The Viking RV Park, Kingsburg, California

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

A small park, geared for seasonals. Just off the freeway, it's really a stop over on the way to someplace else. The regular price seems a little steep for what's offered. Noisy freeway on one side, busy train tracks right on the other. You'll have a hard time getting a sound sleep. Having said that, the people were friendly enough, the place clean. Ok value for the Passport America 50% discount. We camped at The Viking RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Calistoga RV and Campground, Calistoga, California

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

As others say, it's really just a parking lot which charges a lot of money for what you get. With Passport America 50% discount, it's more reasonable value. Pros: right in town, easy biking to town places and some nearby wineries. Cons: just a parking lot. We camped at Calistoga RV and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park, Willits, California

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Passport America 50% discount makes this a good value for an overnight stop. Lots of trees, far enough off the highway to lessen the noise. Owners were pleasant and accommodating. Difficult with some leveling (we've only a 20 foot trailer, but some of the slopes can be difficult). One con is the showers are among the filthiest we have seen so far. But the park is certainly fine for a night. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
