Park Place RV Park, Quartzsite, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Park is under new ownership and management. A clubhouse is now offered with a 55" Direct TV set-up. Sites are gravel and level. Pull-throughs are available when park isn't full. Away from highway noise but close to I-10 entrance. The park is behind and within walking distance to "Sweet Darlings Restaurant" for those that have visited "Q" before. For those that have not, or want peace and quiet, give this park a try. We camped at Park Place RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Harrah's Laughlin, Laughlin, Nevada

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $5.00
Overall Rating:

Blacktop boon docking. Must unhook if longer then 40'. It is NOT FREE! You must register at the Shell Gas Station. $25.00 a week includes one dump and fresh water fill up. Or $5.00 per night which also included dump and fill. This area is at the far end off Casino Dr. Local bus service available just across the road. We camped at Harrah's Laughlin in a Fifth Wheel.

Colorado Belle Casino, Laughlin, Nevada

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Blacktop Boon docking. Although security past our RV that was parked against a retaining wall, they never informed us that slides weren't to be opened. After contributing more money to this casino during our second day, upon arrival to our RV we found a rules sheet taped to our door, stating slide out's weren't to be opened. We realize some of these Casino's may have problems. If we were advised of the no open slides as we set -up, we would have left immediately. Our fiver is difficult to use without the slides opened. Although we did receive a very nice baseball cap with the casino's logo, we could have saved $75.00 or more if we had checked into an RV park. We camped at Colorado Belle Casino in a Fifth Wheel.

Shady Lane RV Park, Quartzsite, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Would have given it a higher rating, if the lady owner didn't have an attitude. As we were leaving our 1 night stay, she stood in the shadows watching every move we made atop her golf cart. Didn't acknowledge a good morning from my wife and pitched a fit when she seen I was filling up our fresh water holding tank. Pleasant Canadian staff, but a typical "Q" resident owner. Most likely; her time to retire. We camped at Shady Lane RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Kofa Ko-Op - Escapees Park, Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Nice enough park. Wide sites and quiet! Our 1st experience staying at an Escapees park. Friendly folks. Plenty of activities if you're into that. We dry-camped in close quarters for 4 days until a site became available. The park is on the south end of Yuma. Besides the casinos, almost every thing you want is within a 10 mile drive. We would come back in a flash. We camped at Kofa Ko-Op - Escapees Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Caspar Beach RV Park, Mendocino, California

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Agree with all the other posters as far as tight spaces. Couldn't open awning even if we were so inclined. Wi-Fi good, pleasant employees, and a quiet park. Off season for some, but the park was nearly full the 4 days we spent here. We were looking for the closest park to the town of Mendocino. We camped at Caspar Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sunset Harbor RV Park, Crescent City, California

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Other then inadequate Wi-Fi which did work during the first day, then hardly worked after that, and the office staff being almost non existent, this isn't a bad park. Walking distance to town. We enjoy walking. We camped at Sunset Harbor RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stonebridge Campground & RV Park, Maggie Valley, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Just received an unsolicited phone call from this place. They call it a resort. The word is used very loosely on this one. Heated pool was unheated. Large fuel tank at base of entrance belonging to the gas station at the top of the road. Wi-Fi not! No planned activities to speak of. A few bands come in on the weekends. The sites have been developed so RV's face each other. Sites are so tight that awnings will actually hit each other. No privacy on any sites. There are much nicer camps in the area then this gem. We camped at Stonebridge Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Peninsula Campground & Boating Resort, Grass Valley, California

Date of Stay: March, 2009 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We workamped her for several months. It is primitive camping at its best. Very peaceful camp operated by family oriented owners. This is not the place to party! The park is almost surrounded by Rollins Lake. There is a day use area and a boat ramp. It is rustic, but has a nice general store which carries everything you may have forgotten at home! The town of Grass Valley is 30 minutes away. We camped at Peninsula Campground & Boating Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park located in an Orange Grove. Very clean. Pull through 90' sites level enough to stay hooked up for a day or so. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Anaheim RV Park, Anaheim, California

Date of Stay: March, 2009 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Typical blacktop RV park in a tourist area. Walking distance 1/2 mile to Disney. Road noise during the week, weekends are better. Nice looking school across roadway with a mountain backdrop including California Palms. If the park was full, we'd have a bit of a problem backing our 61' rig into our site. Many residents at rear of park. Some resident sites need attention and I still can not understand why owners put up with pack-rats! Hit and miss with WiFi at the site unless you are very close to the office. We stayed for a week to visit Disneyland and the VA. A very pricey park for what you get but we have been in worse. We camped at Anaheim RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Las Cruces KOA, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Even though we booked three days prior to our arrival by phone, the park couldn't find our reservation. It is a nice quiet park with a fantastic view of the Organ Mountains and Las Cruces below. The staff did ask if we wanted a back-in site that overlooked the city lights but we didn't ask if the sites would cost more, and I figured since it was a back-in site it wouldn't have. Reading the first few reviews the park must charge for the view. We would stay here again but clarify the price policy. We camped at Las Cruces KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Stone Creek RV Park, Schertz, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2008 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This was the closest reasonably priced park near San Antonio, TX. The park is very quiet. Except for an occasional square dance club that meets at the park center, there are no activities of any kind. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our gravel site was level, and all the sites have a separate roof-over concrete sitting area. We found that very nice when using the BarBQ especially if it rained. There is a train whistle at all hours, but we quickly adjusted to that. There is also a Super Wal-Mart and dozens of banks and shops less then a mile away. The town of Schertz is a few miles away, although after one drive through, there's no reason to see it again. We would stay here again but not for one month. We camped at Stone Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Twin Lakes RV Park, Cumming, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Past good reviews must have been by folks passing through for a few days. We were required to stay here due to a job commitment. There is a small lake and there are tree lined streets. The tree lined streets are used by perminant residents. Cable TV is not available. The Wi Fi signal coming from the office is so weak it is not usable. Since our wagon train style lay-out was topped with loose gravel and numerous house cats were allowed to run wild leaving their deposits near the RVs, we named our area "The Wagon Train Litter Box." The short street that leads to the park is littered with several inhabited dilapted mobile homes. If the family is originally from the south, Southern hospitality is not apparent and their personality borders on rude. We will Not be coming back. We camped at Twin Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort, Narvon, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We spent five months at this park over the summer. We cannot speak highly enough of this superior resort from the large treed sites and paved roadways to the excellent facilities offered. They run a tight ship here and have certain behavioral expectations of anyone there (normal, civilized behavior) but this only serves to enhance the overall experience. They also offer seasonal sites, if we ever decide to do a regular seasonal site this is the first place we've felt we'd like to come back and forth to. We've been 'on the road' nine years and so been and seen many parks along the way. We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
