Augusta / Gardiner KOA, Richmond, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely, woodsy, KOA with spacious sites. Staff very friendly. Quiet area just south of where 295 and 95 meet. Staff escorted us to site and offered help. Activities like bingo, ice cream social, etc. staff even took people back to site after evening activities over as it is dark. Great place to stay to rest or trips to lakes and other areas inland as well as coast. No restaurants or stores nearby. Suggest bringing food before you come. A little hilly but level sites. Nature walks and dog walk area. We camped at Augusta / Gardiner KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA, Saco, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

Nice pull through site. Had to disconnect truck as site shorter in length. Better suited for families as they had a lot of activities for kids at the pool and elsewhere. Sites close together. Needed place for one night. Staff very nice. We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA, Jonestown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

First time stay at a "Journey KOA" right off I-81. Someone escorted us to site. Restaurant and store very convenient. Dog park clean and fenced in. Only stayed one night so site was near road. But for future reference there is a lovely creek with tubing and canoes onside of campground. If we were staying longer, would have asked for site for lovely, restful views. Fast food restaurant right across street as well as gas station. Pleasant surprise staying here. We camped at Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Fancy Gap / Blue Ridge Parkway KOA, Fancy Gap, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Beautifully maintained, woodsy and private sites. We had 1 of 3 back in sites with private, fenced, dog yard. Great assistance backing in as site was hard to back into. Great BBQ dinner onsite. Great for a restful stay next to Blue Ridge Parkway. We camped at Fancy Gap / Blue Ridge Parkway KOA in a Travel Trailer.

John Wayne's Waterfront Resort (formerly Sequim Bay Resort), Sequim, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely campground with excellent views of Sequim Bay across the road and 5 minute walk to grassy walk way by bay with picnic tables and benches. Marina and Dockside Grill (good local seafood with high prices) 5 minutes away as well. Sites are wide and clean. A bonus is a gravel driveway adjacent to concrete pad to park car/truck alongside. Some wildflowers, lavender but no trees. The views make this location so enjoyable, especially with all the birds on this Olympic birding trail. Plenty of places to walk dog. We camped at John Wayne's Waterfront Resort (formerly Sequim Bay Resort) in a Travel Trailer.

Cape Kiwanda RV Resort, Pacific City, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Campground opposite famous beach with a huge boulder. Terrific location but campground experience very unpleasant. Sites were very narrow with fire rings right next to RV. On other side of site, picnic table was next to sewer connection of adjacent RV. A family set up RV plus 3 tents which created a lot of noise. The bathrooms were dark and dingy. Management told us they are planning to redo the row where our site was located. Only recommend staying here if there is need to be right by the beach. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Gilgal Oasis RV Park, Sequim, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

A spotless, cozy, small campground right in the heart of Sequim with views of the mountains and a tiny dog walk area. Despite dry climate with little rain, some grass between each site. Very clean with very friendly management who helped us with inside tips on seeing local sights and Victoria. Loved the views of lavender outside RV windows. Caters to retirees. Enjoyed our stay immensely. We camped at Gilgal Oasis RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Mounthaven Resort, Ashford, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

A perfect place to enjoy the woods and forests right outside entrance to Mt. Rainier NP. Wide site with lots of huge pine trees. Even when full, still had some room between sites (about 35' wide?). Enjoyed making campfires with good fire rings. Very small, cozy campground that delivers firewood to site. Sites border a circle that included a play ground, dog walk area and decent laundry room, Really added to our stay at this beautiful NP. We camped at Mounthaven Resort in a Motorhome.

Very pleasant, country like setting, yet just off I-5 outside of Portland. Our site faced a berm which afforded great place to walk dog and just relax after driving all day. Wide, clean sites with trees. Great location for doing trip to Mt. St. Helens. We camped at Brookhollow RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Mt Hood Village RV Resort, Welches, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful, shady site surrounded by trees, boulders with lots of privacy between sites. Bath house and showers spotless. Big resort but with all the forests, private and quiet. Laundry featured new efficiency washers/dryers. Different codes for bath house, laundry room, and gate confusing. Wished we could have stayed longer. We camped at Mt Hood Village RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Very beautiful setting adjacent to nature preserve and creek afforded tranquility after a long, hot day driving truck + RV. It is a good distance from highway and the Walmart, but so lovely. Boise / Meridian KOA, Meridian, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Large parking lot with site far from the building with the showers. Had difficulty with the connections, due to poor maintenance. Sites very narrow. It was hot and dusty. Only choose if no other locations available in area. Dog park very small and contained little grass. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Travel Trailer.
