Foss State Park, Foss, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night in space #1. Site was level, cell service was good and we were able to get good satellite coverage. There was one trail, but most time was just spent enjoying view (site was right on the lake). A little bit off the beaten path, but enjoyable for one night. Price does not include $8 charge to reserve online. We camped at Foss State Park in a Motorhome.

Trinidad Lake State Park, Trinidad, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Great State Park ~5 miles off the Interstate in Trinidad, CO. We stayed one night in space #52. Spaces are well above the Lake and have nice view of Lake, Mountains and Sunsets. Site was level, cell service good - as well as Dish reception. There was a real nice ~2 mile hiking loop and plenty of places to sit on a bench and just enjoy the views. Sites were nicely spaced out. We camped at Trinidad Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

Moraine Campground (NPS Campground), Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 3 nights in space A55. Site needed a couple blocks on th front tires and had no hook ups. Generator hours were fine and we were also able to use our portable Solar during the day. Cell coverage was poor and there were no OTA channels. We did not hook up Dish, but I am sure it would have been fine (from our site). There were plenty of Elk all over and the Shuttle Bus got us to all of the hikes we wanted to accomplish. While no hookups, there was water available at the entrance and a 1 hole dump station as well (I imagine that could get busy on some days). We camped at Moraine Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Middle Fork Campground USFS, Buffalo, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this USFS Camground, located ~15 miles West of Buffalo, WY. Sites backed up to a running Stream. We were in Space #7 (level). No Hookups, no Cell, no OTA, no Satellite. Generator Hours were fine. Beyond the Campsites, there is a dirt road that leads to a number of privately held cabins back in the woods. Very pretty. Price does not include $10 service charge for reserving online. We camped at Middle Fork Campground USFS in a Motorhome.

Missouri Headwaters State Park, Three Forks, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for one night is Space # 17. It has to be the best space in the CG!!. Site was level and there were no hookups. AT&T service was OK, Sprint was bad. OTA was good. While there was decent shade, we were able to use our portable solar panel during the day. Generator hours were fine. Easy walk to the River and Confluence. Also a 13 mile RT bike trail from the CG into Three Forks. We camped at Missouri Headwaters State Park in a Motorhome.

Swan Lake Campground - USFS, Swan Lake, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice NFS Campround in the Flathead National Forest. Sites were large with a lot of space in between. Campground hosts were incredibly freindly and always available to answer any questions. Sites had no hookups, but there was water at the entrance and generous generator hours. Site was totally level. No Cell Service, OTA or Satellite reception. We were able to get a good AT&T cell signal at a pullout on road ~2 miles North of CG. We had fun just walking through the Campgrounds and spending time sitting on benches at the Lake. Very nice spot for a couple nights. Price stated does not include $10 Service Charge to reserve online. We camped at Swan Lake Campground - USFS in a Motorhome.

St. Mary Campground (NPS Campground), Glacier National Park, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Spent two nights in space C104 in a 26' MH. Site was pretty level and had no hookups. It was a tight fit for us, but we were able to get our slide out. No cell service in CG, but there was Wi-Fi available at the Visitor center - a 10 minute walk. Great view of the Mountains, and we were able to get our Satelitte Dish working fine (no OTA). There were reasonable Generator hours and we were also able get our portable solar panel fired up for most of each day. There is a nice Shuttle Bus service available at Visitor Center that got us to/from all the hikes we could handle. Showers were nice, but crowded in the evenings. We camped at St. Mary Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Southside RV Park, Dillon, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We were delayed due to Mechanical Problems and needed a place to stay. We called Southside RV Park late afternoon and they were able to squeeze us in. Our site (#9) backed up to the stream that runs through the park and worked out great for us. Dillon looks like a real neat college town and everyone was very friendly. Site was level and cell service was fine. There were 3 OTA channels available. The office provided Wi-Fi and had DVD's available to borrow. Very easy on/off of Interstate. Owners very helpful in getting us backed in to site. We camped at Southside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Meredith National Recreation Area, Fritch, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This NRA has some free campsites with no hookups, but also have some with Water and Electric for $20. Great view above the Lake and very helpful/friendly support at the Store (where you check in). It is a little bit off the beaten path. Only issue we had was a lot of sticky burrs. When not on the pavement. Was a nice place to stay for a night. We camped at Lake Meredith National Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Deer Creek State Park, MIdway, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Price is for FHU and includes $8 service charge for reserving on line. We stayed for one nights in Chokecherry #7 - a pull through site tiered above the lake. Very pretty scenery of Lake and Mountains. Seems like a park best suited for Water activity on the Lake - but it worked great for one night. Dish, Cell and OTA all worked great. Sites have plenty of space between them. We camped at Deer Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Morefield Campground (NPS), Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

First time to Morefield Campground inside Mesa Verde National Park. We stayed in a FHU spot for a couple nights. Cells and Satelitte worked well, and there is Wi-Fi available at the Camp Store (and somewhat throughout the campground). The Campground is ~4.5 miles up the hill from the Visitor Center. Everyone working at the park was very friendly and helpful. There were tons of deer all over the campground that were more than happy to have their picture taken. It is a 45 minute drive from the Campground to the Cliff Dwelling sites - but very scenic. You can go to the Visitor Center to secure reservations for guided tours at the Cliff Dwellings. We'll definitely be back. We camped at Morefield Campground (NPS) in a Motorhome.

Taos Valley RV Park & Campground, Taos, New Mexico

Overall Rating:

Convenient park just South of Downtown Taos. Site was level with great cell and Satellite coverage. We stayed in a pull through site near the entrance. Pretty close to the neighbors, but the Mountain View's were very cool. Site had propane for sale and we were also able to ride our bikes ~2.5 miles to the town center for a nice dinner. Indian Boundary Campground, Tellico Plains, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This was our favorite park on a recent 3 week trip. It is 30 minutes up in the hills from Tellico Plains. We stayed in space 29, which was electric only. There was a water spigot right across from us. The site was pretty level and well spaced from the others. There was a great 3 mile hike or bike loop around the lake that we did 1-2 times per day. We had no cell service, no OTA and no DISH. We were able to get connected when we drove down to Tellico Plains. We rented a car in Athens, TN (60 minutes away). CG is on the Cherehala Skyway - a 40 mile road that goes through the Cherokee National Forest. We camped at Indian Boundary Campground in a Motorhome.

High Falls State Park, Jackson, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice state park just a few minutes from the Freeway. We were there only one night - in space 16 which backed up to the River. There was no OTA, no DISH and poor cell. There is a nice hike on the Tranquility Trail that goes through the forest and gets you access to the cool waterfalls on the river. Park was nice for a one night stop over, but seemed a little dated for a longer stay. A plus was how easy it was to get to/from the Freeway. There was also a Flying J one exit North. We camped at High Falls State Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park about 20 minutes from I-40. We stayed in Area #1, site #14. It was FHU, poor OTA, OK cell and no DISH. Site was pretty level. There is a beautiful stone bridge that spans a lake and a nice 2.5 mile hiking trail around the lake. There is a restaurant in the CG that looked crowded - but we did not go.
