Fort Morgan RV Park, Gulf Shores, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff. Great trees and located right on Mobile Bay. Sunsets are amazing. Lots of waterbirds to watch and we even saw dolphins twice. We stayed a week at a waterfront site. Downside is the roads need work and are narrow. We could never pick up a Wi-Fi signal at our site and the cable was unwatchable. They did come and try to fix the cable but it just didn't work. I don't like paying for a service that I'm not receiving. The explanation given was the stormy weather but we were there an entire week! We camped at Fort Morgan RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lakeside RV Park, Livingston, Louisiana

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely campground. Far enough off I-10 to be quiet. We stayed on our way to and from Gulf Shores, Alabama, and would definitely stay anytime we are in the area. Only complaint is no cable and couldn't pick up but a couple of local tv stations. The staff were super nice. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park. Separate section of pull throughs for overnighters, like us. Pretty west view of mountains. Easy on and off I-10. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Holiday Palms RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Stumbled upon the park the last night of a month long trip. What a lucky find! Clean park. Level and large pads. Pleasant staff. Wide paved streets. Picturesque setting - pastures with horses and small lake. Would love to stay there again. We camped at Jellystone Park at Coyote Ranch RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Wifi is worthless. Park very clean with narrow streets. Our site was all asphalt, at the back, and very quiet. Office staff is very nice. No pull thruoughs available; lots of permanent residents. We camped at Las Vegas RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Canyons RV Park, Sanderson, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Pull-throughs. $2.00 per washer & dryer!, nice views, sewer and shower cost extra, clean, safe place because couple of Border Patrol agents stay there. Note: we left going west on scenic old 90 and came to a low clearance train bridge (13'7" and that is the height of our rig) and had to back up at least 1/4 mile up a hill with a curve in the road. Border Patrol came and helped and were sooo nice. They told us how to go around to avoid the low bridge without having to go back to I-10. We camped at Canyons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
