Table Rock Lake State Park, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We were in site 133 in Campground 1. Although we had full hookups, sites were very close. We couldn't sit outside or open our door because our neighbors smoldering fire ring smoked us out. Our neighbors on the other side were right outside our bedroom window when they were on their patio. It looked like the electric only sites had more space & privacy but I was not impressed with the full hookup sites at all. Too cramped. We go to Branson a lot but will not come back here. We camped at Table Rock Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

Echo Bluff State Park, Eminence, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a brand new state park - just opened in July. Although there are no trees yet, it is a beautiful park! All sites are concrete pads with picnic tables & fire ring. Free wifi with a fairly strong signal. Cellphone service is little to none unless you go to the Lodge, then it is good. Highway 19 between Salem & the park is VERY curvy & hilly. We loved it here & will definitely be back! We camped at Echo Bluff State Park in a Motorhome.

If you're into canoeing, kayaking, hiking or just enjoy some beautiful scenery, this is the place to stay! If you go into Eminence, eat at the Dairy Shack. Walk up to the window & order but cheeseburger was delicious & so was the ice cream!

Missouri State Fair Campground, Sedalia, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here for 2 nights while visiting the Missouri State Fair. Campground is basically a huge field with first come, first served basis and it was packed! There are full hookups but they are hard to find & hard to get. That said, it was a good place to camp & enjoy the Fair. There was a tram that would make it's rounds through the campground & take you into the Fair. It was a little noisy at night but everyone around us were friendly and nice. We enjoyed it and will be back next year. We camped at Missouri State Fair Campground in a Motorhome.

Turkey Creek RV Village - Escapees Rainbow Park, Hollister, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is Escapees rate. Campground was nice - close to Branson but out of all the traffic. No wifi which is a little strange in this day and age. Staff was very friendly & kept the place very clean. We would stay here again. We camped at Turkey Creek RV Village - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

Hermann City Park Campground, Hermann, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here on a Sunday. Sites are reserved on weekends but many free sites by Sunday afternoon when we got there. I thought this was a lovely park with nice shade but not too much as we were able to use our dish with no problems. Full hookup site - back in. Asphalt pad was nice & level with picnic table & fire ring. Many wineries in the area & Hermann has a trolley that will pick you up at campground & take you to & from all of them for a low rate all day pass. We parked close to the road, however, and had a lot of traffic noise. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Hermann City Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Branson Treehouse Adventures (formerly Acorn Acres RV Park & Villas), Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this campground because we didn't want to be down in all the "commotion" in Branson. Staff is very friendly & helpful. Lots of trees so we couldn't use our dish but they had cable with all the channels we watch, so that was good. We were in a pull through & had plenty of space between us & our neighbor. If you're coming from Branson, you have to take a left to get into campground & there is no way that you can see if there is any traffic coming toward you. Just hold your breath, pray & turn! We come to Branson quite a lot but this was our first time staying here. Will stay here again. We camped at Branson Treehouse Adventures (formerly Acorn Acres RV Park & Villas) in a Motorhome.

Arrow Rock State Historic Site, Arrow Rock, Missouri

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Price is because we got the only full hook up site there. All other sites are electric only or just basic sites. Very pretty & well kept campground. Lots of room between sites so you're not right on your neighbors. Camp hosts were very friendly & helpful. Campground is very close to historic & lovely little town of Arrow Rock. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Arrow Rock State Historic Site in a Motorhome.

Musicland Kampground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is very centrally located which makes it easy to get around to anywhere you'd like to get to in Branson. Even though it is tight turns & narrow roads, they do a good job of parking big rigs. We saw many big rigs there. Employees are very helpful & friendly. Our site was a pull thru & surprisingly we didn't even have to level up. Site was gravel but very level & even though there were trees, we were able to use our dish. However, there are lots of local stations so you wouldn't need your dish if you can't get a signal. Swimming pool was very nice & clean, as were the bathrooms & showers. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Branson. We camped at Musicland Kampground in a Motorhome.

Paradise in the Woods RV Park, Strafford, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for two nights while visiting in Springfield. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Campground is older with many full timers. Most kept their sites clean & tidy but a few were rather dumpy. Our site was a nice long pull through that was fairly level but very narrow! Our slide out was almost touching our full time neighbor's propane tank! Swimming pool was nice & clean & although we didn't use them, I checked out the showers/bathroom and they were very clean. Older but clean. Camping World is just down the road if you need anything. This is a nice spot for a night or two and we would definitely stay again. We camped at Paradise in the Woods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bass Pro Shop in Springfield is worth the trip. Also, take in a Springfield Cardinals baseball game! A very entertaining time!! If you're hungry, visit Lambert's - home of the throwed roll! Go hungry but be prepared to wait 1/2 hr to 1 hr to get in. Bring cash, though, they don't take plastic!

Bennett Spring State Park, Lebanon, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We camped in the full hookup campground and loved it. The pull-through was nice and level and the whole park is just beautiful. We don't trout fish, which is the big draw here, but spent three nights and truly enjoyed everything about this place. Full hookup sites must be reserved well in advance, it seems. We ate at The Lodge, which is the restaurant built by the CCC back in the 20s. Lovely place with very good food. We loved it here and will definitely come back. We camped at Bennett Spring State Park in a Motorhome.

Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park, Wildwood, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here 3 nights while sightseeing around St. Louis. A lovely, well maintained park. Lots of trees but plenty of local stations if you can't use your satellite. We were able to get a clear shot through the trees & were able to use our Tailgater. The only thing that would be better would be if they had water & sewer. There are plenty of water faucets spaced around the park & there is also a dump station. We loved it here & will definitely return again. We camped at Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park in a Motorhome.

The Wilderness at Silver Dollar City, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very clean & well maintained park, however sites are VERY small & not very level. We never were able to get level. Finally gave up & just made the best of it... Sites are just rocks & gravel. A lot of highway noise. The staff is very friendly & helpful. Bathrooms & showers were really nice & clean. There is a free shuttle to Silver Dollar City but we didn't use it. Decided to drive over instead. Next time we're in Branson, we will stay at another park but would stay here again if need be. We camped at The Wilderness at Silver Dollar City in a Motorhome.

Worlds of Fun Village, Kansas City, Missouri

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very well maintained campground. Easy access on & off interstate. Nice concrete pads & pull throughs with picnic tables, grills & trash cans. We stayed here while attending a function in downtown Kansas City & was easy to go to function & back. The only reason I didn't rate this higher is because there is a lot of noise from the highway & from the amusement park right behind campground. But, even with that, we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Motorhome.

Lazy Day Campground, Danville, Missouri

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is about 1 1/2 miles off I-70. We stayed here 2 nights. Camp host was very friendly & helpful. Sites are all gravel but pretty level. Some shady spots - some open. We chose open because of satellite dish. Nice & clean & looks like it will be pretty once the trees get leaves & the flowers are blooming. Would stay here again. Nice place to stay the night if you're passing through. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Motorhome.

Graham Cave is 4 or 5 miles away. We went to visit it. Not much of a cave but several hiking paths which we did a couple of them. Big park & nicely maintained. Would not want to try to get our motorhome into this park's campground though.
