Natural Tunnel State Park, Duffield, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2005 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Agree with the previous review. When trees mature they will provide more shade. Entire family enjoyed this campground. All sites are gravel and grass, but who really has to have pavement??? Weather was warm, wish I'd have had A/C on this trip, also has pool across main road from the entrance to campground. As far as big rig access: several 4dr trucks pulling large 5ers got in no problems. We camped at Natural Tunnel State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Could smell the bathhouse from the entrance area. Stored "junk" in the CG...Could be a nice CG with some work and cleaning up. We camped at Dixie Caverns Campground in a Tent.

Fancy Gap / Blue Ridge Parkway KOA, Fancy Gap, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2004 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We found this CG on the internet and camped before 2004 but form only went back that far. WHAT A MISTAKE! Could be improved by giving staff some manners, mowing more often, "lake" was snakey looking, campstore was maybe a dozen items on about 3 shelves in the office/check in. Our site was at back in the woods on a hill (maybe site 49?) Bathrooms all the way up at the check in booth/office It was in a nice area, lots of shade, near the BRP and close to attractions in Fancy Gap We camped at Fancy Gap / Blue Ridge Parkway KOA in a Tent Trailer.
