Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground), St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed with PA discount. This is one of the best parks in Florida! Easy access to I-95 and all of the sights in St. Augustine. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the park itself is immaculate. We enjoyed the dog park as well as hiking the property. Site was full hook-up with 50 Amp service, very clean and level. Clubhouse is beautiful and well appointed. Compass RV Park is truly a destination park. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

Rondout Valley Resort Thousand Trails, Accord, New York

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent staff, very accommodating and professional. The park is very clean, roads were in excellent shape and sites were spacious, level and configured with easily accessible full hookups including 50 Amp service. This is a Thousand Trails Resort and members are given preference. We are Elite members of Thousand Trails and yes, we were provided preferential treatment is both reasonable and expected considering the cost of membership and the annual dues paid. We camped at Rondout Valley Resort Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Gettysburg Battlefield Resort (Travel Resorts of America), Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Told that full hook-up sites were not available to visiting ROD members; no cable and no satellite reception on original 30 Amp site which was f to a 50 amp water/ 50 amp site. Next to us was a pop-up camper n a 50 amp site and an extension cord to a 20 Amp outlet!! This while motor homes were being assigned to 30 amp; non-level sites (there were several of us). We camped at Gettysburg Battlefield Resort (Travel Resorts of America) in a Motorhome.

Sycamore Lodge, Jackson Springs, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

OK family park, very clean. Off the beaten path and lack such full time essentials as park-wide WiFi and full hookup (sewer) at sites. Grounds are very dusty and navigating a big rig can be tricky. OK for a one night stay but not a destination park. Like many of its type it uses the word "resort" a bit too loosely; it is really a very nice campground but not a resort. We camped at Sycamore Lodge in a Motorhome.
