Chatfield State Park, Littleton, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second stay in this beautiful state park and in the same site. Huge sites with concrete pads, new tables, and fire pits. No crowding. Clean restroom/laundry/shower facilities. You have to stand right next to the wall in the pay showers. Wi-Fi was iffy at best. TV reception was great considering they don't offer cable. Great wildlife watching and very peaceful. Will definitely stay there again because we have family in the area We camped at Chatfield State Park in a Travel Trailer.

USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This a well-run park and kept clean and orderly. Our only complaint was dogs barking and running loose. Restrooms and showers very clean and lots of hot water. We appreciated the owners attention to veteran affairs and his plan to build a veteran's memorial on the property. Not much to do in Gallup but this is a good stopover for one or two days. Would stay there again. We camped at USA RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This campground was by far the best of our nearly two month trip. Very clean and well groomed. Close to downtown West Yellowstone. Restroom/laundry/shower facilities were clean. Site had table, concrete pad, and grass. Only downside was Wi-Fi was only offered for 2 hours every 8 hours with a coupon. Reception was very poor. Kept getting logged off and having to go through the same procedure again. Otherwise, very satisfied. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Johnson's Campground and RV Park, St Mary, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Rustic campground considering proximity to Glacier National Park. Campsites are on a hill overlooking the park which was nice, but access was difficult. Small sites with no level area for eating outside. Wi-Fi in the office, but had very poor reception. Restrooms and showers were quite a way from site and not very clean. If it wasn't for the proximity to Glacier, we would have been unhappy. We camped at Johnson's Campground and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Silver Cove Resort, Silverlake, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

A nice park with good size sites. However, we were put in a pull-through as far from the restrooms as we could be - about 1/2 mile - therefore we did not use them as one of us is handicapped.. Advertised lakefront is a misnomer. Water is shallow and overgrown with reeds and lily pads. Could not see lake itself. Close to Mt. St. Helen which is a plus. Wi-Fi very poor. Need to improve access to restrooms/showers. We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Redding RV Park, Redding, California

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is a well kept park but is poorly laid out. No level area for outside seating/eating except the driveway. No table. One way exit causes problems when all sites are full because one cannot get a vehicle to the RV. Wi-Fi very iffy. Good access to Lassen Volcanic Park/shopping, Lake Shasta. Would stay there again. We camped at Redding RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The Viking RV Park, Kingsburg, California

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Right off freeway so great for one or two nights. Exit is onto the on ramp for freeway so can be risky. Grass sites, not very level. They water daily so site is always wet. Would probably not stay there again. No office, no service. We camped at The Viking RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice clean park. Close to shopping and Joshua Tree Nat'l Park. Nice site across the street from the pool and restrooms/showers. Mostly long-term. Would stay there again. We camped at Indian Wells RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Coyote Rock RV Resort & Marina, Lincoln City, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

The terms Resort and Marina are overstatements. For them, Marina means 2-3 boat capacity dock. Recreation facilities are in poor condition. Showers and restroom building needs to be replaced. Terrible condition and moldy. Friendly owners who even took a picture of our campsite and made a brochure for us featuring it. Pretty cool. Wi-Fi was poor and no TV reception. Would not stay there again. We camped at Coyote Rock RV Resort & Marina in a Travel Trailer.
