Cedar Pass Campground (Concessionaire Operated), Badlands National Park, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

As others have said the sites are different, parking is on the side of the road. The front of our camper faced the road, but so did many others. Site 85 was level and dry. The campground was out in the open and the sun was very hot at midday, but the camper gave some shade. Water was a few feet away and the dump station was on the way out of the park. The ranger programs were wonderful, the scenery and trails were great. Lodge and visitor center were nearby. It was better than any of the campgrounds we saw in the town of Interior. We camped at Cedar Pass Campground (Concessionaire Operated) in a Travel Trailer.

Custer State Park - Stockade Lake North Campground, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This state park is huge with many campgrounds. We ended up in Stockade North which was a little farther to drive, but we thought the sties were better than many. There was lots grass and trees and they were much more private than many. Close to the town of Custer and the Needles highway, convenient to the attractions we were interested in seeing. There were water spigots around the park, but no water hook-up at each site. The sanitary dump station is close to the visitor center, but it was on our way out of the park. Make sure to take the wildlife loop. We camped at Custer State Park - Stockade Lake North Campground in a Travel Trailer.

American Creek Campground, Chamberlain, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This was a few miles from 1-90, you had to drive through a small town, but it was very quiet and had spacious sites, many with river views. There was a fishing pier, beach, walking path and playground. We would stay here again if we were passing through. Not much available in the town, but the camping was great! We camped at American Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Flying Goose Campground, Fairmont, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Just a few miles off I-90 but a world away. On a beautiful lake, beach and boats to rent. We stayed for one night on our way to the Badlands/Black Hills and we liked it so much we also stopped on the way back. They have many seasonal spots which have the lake front, then they have many transient sites which are grouped together. They are full hook-ups, have picnic tables and fire pits and most are pull through. We didn't even have to disconnect the last night. Lots of grass and black top roads. This campground is very clean and well kept. Many employees were around offering firewood, picking up garbage, etc. We seldom rate a 10, but this place had everything we wanted. We camped at Flying Goose Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Monticello (formerly Walnut Acres), Monticello, Iowa

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

It was the end of the season and they were closing I a couple of days. We stayed 1 night on our way home from a month long trip. They people were very friendly, even going to get up firewood as theirs was very wet from a big rain storm. Many seasonal campers with lots of activities on the river and a large pond. Great WIFI, a little run down, but it was the end of the season. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Monticello (formerly Walnut Acres) in a Travel Trailer.

Weston Bend State Park, Weston, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Spacious, shady sites but a little run down. Many trees and very hilly. The black top was pretty chewed up. Nice trails with history of the area. The was a small laundry area, but I didn't use it. No water hook-up but there was electricity and several TV channels as it is not far from Kansas City. We camped at Weston Bend State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Wanderlust Crossings RV Park, Weatherford, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park deserves a perfect 10! It is so new and clean with fire pits and tables. Grass is beautiful with small trees. Dog friendly with nice walking areas. garbage pick-up in the AM. Just far enough away from the freeway, no noise at night. Free WIFI for 1 night, no cable. I would recommend to anyone traveling through. Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta Park, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for the Balloon Fiesta, rate reflects 1/2 price for night prior to fiesta. Nothing but a gravel parking lot and they pack you in. We were told that 7000 campers were in the standard lot. No hook-ups, they did have porta potties and garbage cans. Our neighbor ran their generator non stop during the hours allowed. We stayed for 4 nights and were ready to leave. But it was a perfect spot to watch the balloons. We were in the 5th row because we got there a day early. We could walk to the fiesta grounds or stay by our camper. many balloons landed right on the grounds. Fiesta museum was worth seeing. We camped at Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta Park in a Travel Trailer.

OK RV Park, Holbrook, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We thought our site was fine, they stagger the sites so you get a little more room. Better than cramming is as many as possible which we have seen at other RV parks. The neighbors were very friendly and we enjoyed our 1 night. The park was a little rough and run down, but the cable and WIFI were great. Trains were going through at night, not great for a light sleeper. We camped at OK RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Grand Canyon Railway RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean, with nice laundry, although they could have used a few more washers and dryers. Sites were close together, good WIFI and cable TV. close to small town, grocery store, shops and brewery. We had been to the Grand Canyon for 2 days, but opted to take the train for the day. Kennel on site was very nice, dog friendly park which was a nice change for an RV park. No grass, but walking path around the park. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ten-X Campground - USFS, Grand Canyon Village, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We loved our campsite, we had so much room in a beautiful pine forest, there was also a nice nature trail. Very close to the small village of Tusayan and the Grand Canyon. The camp host was very helpful. There was no wood available in the park, but it was available in Tusayan. No hook-ups, bring water with you or buy it in town; we paid $6.00 to fill. There was a separate space for our truck. Good cell coverage; wish they had electricity, but we used the generator. We camped at Ten-X Campground - USFS in a Travel Trailer.

Las Vegas RV Resort , Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

The lobby is like a fancy Caribbean resort, the pool and hot tub looked very clean and inviting but we were only there 1 night and didn't have a chance to use them. Very convenient to the strip, we used Uber and didn't wait long for them. Site was concrete, no grass and extremely close to each other. this place is huge with 4 pages of rules. We carried our dog to the dog park which was a few blocks away, not dog friendly at all. WIFI was great and cable TV. Great amenities and very good security. We camped at Las Vegas RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground, Bryce Canyon, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Great site in the back of the park. Trees are still growing, but very easy to drive around, wonderful WIFI and cable TV. Close to Bryce Canyon and many shops, restaurants, etc. in the village area. Picnic table and fire pit and spacious site. Site was pretty level, but all gravel. They could have made them closer together, but it was so nice to have the extra space. Deer wandering around in the back field. I would recommend this park to anyone looking for a place close to Bryce Canyon. We camped at Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Rockport State Park, Wanship, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The road to get there was steep and narrow, but the campgrounds was really nice, on a reservoir. Too bad the weather was so bad when we were there. The site had a concrete pad, covered picnic table and fire ring and was overlooking the water. There were nice hiking trails, many people were fishing. In nicer weather it would have been a great place to kayak. We camped at Rockport State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort), Moran, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

We liked the convenience; the laundry was open 24 hours, we had full hook-ups, there was a restaurant and gas station right there. Expensive and we got a deal with the America the beautiful passport. We asked for a different site and were given a few to choose from, we asked to use a ladder and they had the maintenance man bring one for us. No cell coverage in the campground.
