Dakota Ridge RV Park, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Our site abutted onto a noisy industrial firm. Our view from the site was of ugly rusted 55 gal barrels and metal parts. Metal clanging sounds awakened us often. Sites are tight, wifi non-existent, pool and hot tub were closed for season even though temps were in mid-80s. We were charged peak season rate of about $60. When I asked manager for a rate reduction due to wifi and pool amenities not available, I was quickly informed I was wrong to ask for a reduction since all campgrounds have bad wifi and they charge peak rates into November without pool and hot tub. Very rude management. They believe the customer is always WRONG. Drive on by this place...there are other decent rv parks in the area. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Drive to another rv park in Idaho Springs or Denver. The horrible customer service at this place does not merit continued patronage by rv customers.

Outlaw Trail RV Park, Jensen, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park is the closest one to Dinosaur National Monument. It was a welcome sight for us because the campground in the monument had no electric sites and it was quite hot when we visited. We chose Outlaw RV because full hook-up, level gravel sites were available for a reasonable price. The owner was very friendly and we slept very well here because it was so quiet. The laundry was absolutely spotless and decorated nicely. Tent sites in a grassy area looked comfortable and spacious. I recommend this RV park to anyone visiting Dinosaur National Monument as a great alternative to camping inside the monument. We camped at Outlaw Trail RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hickory Oaks Campground, Oshkosh, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful, quiet setting, with shaded, grassy sites. We stayed 5 nights to visit EAA Convention and liked the proximity of this campground to the airport, about 15 minutes by car. Improvement suggestions are: 1. Pave the campground road 2. add at least one more shower to the main shower / bath building for both men and women. With only one shower available at the main building, my husband had to wait 5-10 min. each time he used it. We would stay here again. We camped at Hickory Oaks Campground in a Motorhome.

St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park, Hastings, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This county park and campground is a scenic and serene oasis along the Mississippi River. A new shower/bath house opened this year in the campground; it is nicely designed and very clean. Many of the sites offer shade most of the day from stately and well established trees. From the park's beach area you can enjoy wading in the river or sit on-shore and watch the fishing and pleasure boats pass by. The park is located close to towns of Prescott, WI and Hastings, MN, both of which offer interesting histories, fun shopping and restaurants. We camped at St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Elmo Park Reserve, Lake Elmo, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Clean, quiet, scenic, family-friendly. This campground is one of our favorites in Minnesota. Wonderful hiking and biking trails, nice boat launch to Lake Elmo for fishing and as a bonus, it is just minutes away from good shopping and restaurants in the city of Woodbury. This campground is a consistent winner! We camped at Lake Elmo Park Reserve in a Motorhome.
