If this place were not right in front of the town beach out of the wind it wouldn't get enough business to stay open. Have stayed here multiple times because of the beach that's it. The port runs this place and it appears its a cash cow to fund other sections and salaries. The sites have old septic hookups, snow vision cable TV, dirty front area from fire rings that are moved around and leave ash and black chunks of wood on your site and mainly nasty picnic tables. The bathrooms, for 51 bucks per night, are open to the public and you have to pay to shower? The bathroom, laundry and the little sparsely stocked store look dilapidated with fascia boards sans paint and lichens growing out of the rot. It is embarrassing but we all put up with it because of the location. Its a shame the port doesn't take a little more pride in the tourism camping aspect as that's about all it has going for it. Oh and if you have a truck camper they won't let you take it off your rig FYI.

Very nice little park with about 8 full hookups and a bunch of water only and tent sites. Friendly, accommodating, on site owners. Lush and tranquil, close to town and river, but out of the wind and fog. Acceptable wi-fi and cable TV. Good showers, no laundry but a good laundromat in town. Definitely not a parking lot experience.

Convenient park for visiting Trinidad. Located in large, second growth redwoods but dusty at times. Campsites are a bit odd shaped and squeezed in due to tree layout. Wifi was acceptable. There was only one shower/toilet room for about 20 spaces in our area.

This is a well organized and clean park. They are not kid friendly neither is the owner but the staff were nice. The Wi-Fi is touch and go and they won't accommodate you by letting you use more than one computer per site! They also don't like to take your plastic because of bank fees but they will. The park is a bit noisy in the day as there is a quarry across the river so can hear rocks being dumped and the back up beep beeps of heavy equipment. You can't get to the river from the parking areas because the bank is really steep and high but it is a nice view. Still one of the better parks around
