Lovely small park just east of Albuquerque. Gravel interior roads but well maintained. Beautiful surrounding hills. Owners very friendly and helpful. Very quiet and peaceful.

Date of Stay:

Wonderful park to visit Craters of the Moon NP. Spacious sites, some shade, and quiet. The most noise is from the birds on the morning. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean laundromat.

Date of Stay:

Great Sand Dunes NP campgrounds were full so we had to stay at this way overpriced gravel lot. Rough washboard entrance, irregular gravel parking lot, on a hill with a good view, but windy and dusty. Well, the restrooms were clean.

Date of Stay:

Giving it a 9 only because many of the sites are not as level as some would like. Other than that, its excellent. For 5 dollars more per night than dry camping inside Mesa Verde NP, you don't have to drag your trailer up that first 10 mile stretch of twisty road, AND you get water and electric, wifi, a swimming pool, hot tub, hot showers, laundromat, puttputt golf, a game room, and a playground for the kids. Really great for families.

Absolutely a 10. Very clean restrooms and well kept park. All the extras, i.e., pool, hot tub, wifi, laundromat, fitness room, etc. Convenient location to WalMart (always a plus).

Very well kept, clean campground and pool. Just all good about this park. Will gladly stay here anytime through.

Date of Stay:

The good -- friendly staff, VERY clean bathrooms and showers. The bad -- very noisy, close to a busy highway. Interior roads are in very poor rutted shape.

What a nice public park. Very clean and well kept. Good level gravel sites. Close to the interstate but very quiet. A real find at 12 dollars. Only fault is the restrooms and showers are turned off in winter.

Well laid out, spacious campground. Roomy, level gravel sites. Could get very dusty in a blow, like all the southwest desert area. Only 3 miles from Mexican border and touristy shops, but we felt totally secure.

We primitive camped up among the rocks. This park is so unique everyone should camp here at least once. We're not hikers, but it is irresistible not to meander among the many trails around and through the rocks. Incredible dark sky for star viewing.

Extraordinary views surrounding campsite. Well worth the winding road into campground. Suggest you arrive in daylight because the campground is laid out curiously. Many spots are tight to get into and not very level.

Outstanding view of the lake. Very clean, well kept park and sites. Very friendly, helpful staff. No laundromat at the park less than a mile away. Great walking and hiking trails.

Add extra 5 dollars per person for showers. Beautiful views from campsite. A perfect location before entering Big Bend NP. Nice, clean well kept campground. Would have rated higher if not for the added shower expense.

Great location to do the Cabot Trail. Very helpful and friendly staff. Best shower water pressure I've ever seen in a campground. Totally satisfied.

Awesome waterfront sites. The owners are extremely accommodating and friendly. The roads are bumpy getting there but it is definitely worth the trip. Highly recommend if you like waterfront and want to watch massive tides roll in and out.
