Carl Precht Memorial RV Park, Omak, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed one night at the fairgrounds the week before Omak Stampede and it was already getting filled up for the coming festivities. It is a first come, first serve park and we arrived early enough in the day to find a pull through site with some shade. The sites are asphalt and just wide enough for the coach. It took a couple of tries to get lined up on the asphalt with our unit. There is some green space between the campers and picnic tables. You are very close to your neighbours here, I don't know that we could have put out our awning for the trees. During the busy time, they double up the campers in the sites. We are long enough at 40ft, there wouldn't be room to put another trailer in the same site as us. There were full hookups and 30 amp service at the sites. You can walk along the river to the stampede arena and our dog had fun swimming in the river. It's a no frills campground but for an overnight during the summer when it was so smokey and hot, the shade of the big trees was great. They also have 2 dog parks, one for big dogs and one for small dogs with water in the enclosure for them which is a nice feature. We would stay there again if in the area or passing through. It was clean and fairly quiet considering its located right below the highway. It was a good value for the convenience. You pay with the envelope system and its on the honour system as we never saw anyone come around and check on us. We camped at Carl Precht Memorial RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Umatilla Marina and RV Park, Umatilla, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

I was a little concerned when we arrived and no one was at the office and it was locked but one of the other campers was quite helpful and pointed us in the direction of our site. When I made the reservation, the host had given me the site number so I at least knew what site I was looking for. It was a pull through over looking the Columbia River and marina. As we were pulling into the site, the host arrived and confirmed we had the right site, thank goodness. The pull through sites along the river are along the edge and all lengthwise, forming a long line rather than side by side. The site was gravel/dirt and it was dusty but they hadn't had any rain for a long time. Unfortunately the wildfires of the northwest caused the visibility to be reduced and it was over 100 so it wasn't the best time to be in the area but no fault of the rv park. We appreciated the shade at the site and sat out and watched the boats on the river. It isn't a very big park but kept very clean and the services worked well. The price was very reasonable and we would stay there again if in the area. One note, the traffic patterns getting to the rv park are challenging and require making a turn and getting into another lane where traffic seems to bottleneck. We camped at Umatilla Marina and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

There is a nice grocery store in Umatilla and all kinds of eateries a short distance away in Hermiston. Shop around for fuel as the prices vary in the area. There is a nice park a short distance away, below the rv park where you can take the dog down to the river to swim.

Mountain Home RV Park, Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This park was excellent from the moment I booked our reservation. I had had a package shipped to there to pick up on our trip and they called me ahead of our arrival to let me know it was there and confirm our arrival. The drive way is wide and the whole park is nicely landscaped. Everything was spotless and the hosts were very helpful. We were escorted to our site which was long enough for our 40ft 5ver and truck. Although we did unhook, it wasn't necessary due to the length of the site. There was a picnic table and it was nice to have a little fence between the sites so you weren't looking at the neighbour's sewer hookups. The pool and hot tub were spotless and after 8pm they have adult swim which was nice although we went over early and were entertained by the kids in the pool. The dog park was excellent and our dog had a blast playing with the other dogs and we enjoyed visiting with the owners. It's a large dog park and everyone was very respectful and picked up after their pets. The park was quiet in the evening and even though it was completely full, we didn't hear the neighbours. It was extremely hot when we were there and they did ask us to conserve electricity, which is understandable as their grid was working at max capacity but we had no power issues. We'd definitely stay here again. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Bridger RV Camp, Fort Bridger, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

After a day of truck troubles and issues we were happy to make to this park for the night. It wasn't too far off the interstate and was nice and quiet. The host was very helpful and they were most apologetic about giving us a back in site with out 40ft. 5th wheel instead of a pull through but we assured them, it was perfectly fine. They helped up back in and get settled. This campground has lots of grass and reminded me of other places I'd stayed that were old mobile home parks that have been converted for rv's. We had good space between the campers and the services all worked well. It worked really well for a stop over after a long day. Everyone was very friendly regardless of if they were long term residents or other rv'ers. The park was very neat and tidy. We camped at Fort Bridger RV Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Fiesta Guadalajara is a mexican restaurant about 4 miles away - excellent food and lots of it! Cable hookups were available but a little unorthodox setup as several sites came off one localized hook up. We didn't try the hookup as we were only there overnight.

Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA , Fort Collins, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a great stop, it had it all. Although very busy, the office and hosts took time to go over everything and we were very lucky to be upgraded to a nice site that had a long concrete pull through with picnic table and nice grass area. The walk around the lake was great and the little dog park gave our dog a place to stretch and run around. Wish we could have spent longer there. The only issue we encountered what missing the note on the reservation order that said not to follow the GPS and we went right downtown Ft. Collins with our 40ft. 5th wheel. Made it fine but definitely follow the camp directions not GPS! We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

All Seasons Mobile Home & RV Park, Great Bend, Kansas

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

I'm really sad to write this review as I've stayed at this park several times over the past few years and its been a great park. It is under new ownership and so far, not for the better. Pulling in, I was appalled. The grass was over knee high, the first thing you see after the tall grass is the remains of an abandoned trailer house with weeds, tires and scrap lying around it. The office has a note taped to the door with a phone number to call on it. The RV sites are not mowed, the roads have even bigger pot holes and there is no on site management. Inside the park, there is another abandoned mobile home and a trailer load of tin/scrap. Had I not been familiar with the park and the "usable" sites, and had to be in this area, I would definitely not stop here. No Internet, no cable, no one to help you park. The sites are old mobile home lots and it would be very easy to hit a water faucet, as they're set at ground level. In the tall grass, you can't hardly find the sewer connection. Just such a disappointment to find what was once such a nice park now not worth the stop. We camped at All Seasons Mobile Home & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Old Post Road COE, Russellville, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer. GPS guided us right to the campground. The hosts were great and provided great area info for places to eat. The site was a nice back in right on the river, level with good services and with nice shade and good spacing between units. The facilities were spotless and everything was neat and tidy. There were deer right in the campground throughout our stay. A bonus was getting to see a tugboat and barges go through the locks on the river. The only drawback, if you can call it that, was a little bit of noise or audible hum from industry in the area but it didn't bother us. We camped at Old Post Road COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Frog Hollow Campground RV Park, Grenada, Mississippi

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

As an overnight stop, this park worked just fine. It was small but very neat and tidy, and the owner guided us to our site which was long enough for our coach and truck and 2nd vehicle. Water and power were good and there is a nice little area in the back to walk the dog. There was some road noise from the interstate. The highlight of our stay was eating at Carmella's restaurant downtown. The pasta and pizza were fantastic! We camped at Frog Hollow Campground RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Johnny's RV Resort, Theodore, Alabama

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We spent 6 months in this park. It has a restaurant that has very good food, a fishing pond and walking path around it, playground and pool. Location is very convenient to everything and the oak trees are beautiful. It is occupied by mostly long term residents and workers. While it has some positives, there were also some negatives. The park is divided into 2 different sections, supposedly based on the age of your coach. Ours is newer coach but nothing was available on the "nice" side so we were on the other side. Fortunately we had great neighbors. The bathrooms were cleaned regularly but toilet paper was always out and for the first few months, the shower drains backed up and ran out the front door, down the road daily. Also, ants were a problem. We are still trying to get rid of them out of our coach. We treated our site regularly with ant killer and still ended up with them in the coach. The office staff was very helpful and full of good information. The convenient location suited our needs but we would probably try another park or across the bay the next time we are in that area. We camped at Johnny's RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park, Vicksburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

A good park for our overnight stay. We were happy to find it so easy to get to off the interstate. We had a site on the back row and used all the room we had to get our 40' 5er onto the pad and still had to get on the grass a little bit to get pulled in & out. It was nice and clean and there was some space between units. The park sits down in a basin of sorts with the train below you so you do hear it go through. We felt safe there and the office staff were very pleasant. We enjoyed spending the day in Vicksburg and the convenient location of this park was a plus. We would stay here again if in the area. Pavilion RV Park, West Monroe, Louisiana

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here based on other RVpark reviews. It was exactly as described. Its a smaller park full of work crews right now but we didn't have any problems getting around or into our site. It served its purpose as a stop over for one night although neither of us slept very well. The services were fine and while you kind of felt like a sardine wedged in, we got everything to fit at our site. The hostess was a wonderful lady and very helpful. It was noisy due to everyone leaving for work in the morning. It appeared to be the nicest park in the area so if we had to, we'd stay again and it served its purpose but preferably not. One plus was our site was drier than a lot of others that had running water through them or big puddles. We camped at Pavilion RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We stopped overnight while passing through. The staff was great & informed us if we signed up for a players club card, our night would be free. (It also gave us free play at the casino so why not?!) They also offer a discounted rate for return trips. The park is very nice with good hookups, concrete pads and pull throughs long enough to get our 40' 5er and dually in with no problems. Bathrooms were "luxurious" according to my significant other. There was a little traffic noise in the morning but quiet at night and nice spacing between coaches. We would definitely stop through again and will tell others its a place they want to stay! We camped at WinStar RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

All Seasons Mobile Home & RV Park, Great Bend, Kansas

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is for long term stay. The best park about this park is Miss Joy! She is so welcoming and caring, you can't help but feel like family. I've stayed here several times and never had a problem. The sites are spaced out nicely, the power is good. Water pressure can be weak but adequate. The sewer hookups are in the center back of the site and can be awkward to get to. The sites can be a little tricky to get in to depending on where and the size of the coach. If there has been lots of rain, it can be a little soft but Joy manages it so that you get in and out safely. Internet is hit and miss depending on the site you're in but good around the office. It is a mobile home park with rv sites so there are lots of long term residents but everyone seems to exist together just fine. Considering the choices in the area, this is by far the nicest, most spacious park. I'd stay here again. We camped at All Seasons Mobile Home & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Atwood Lion's Park, Atwood, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This was my home for a long term work project stay. It consists of 10 sites that back onto the lake. The view of the lake was the best thing about the park. The close proximity to town was great as well. Aside from that, there is almost no room between coaches, thank goodness the neighbors were decent. Its a bare bones, no frills park but the water pressure was good, power was good and it had a few big old trees for shade. We camped at Atwood Lion's Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I wish all RV parks were this nice! I stayed in the owners side for 2 nights and it was a great place to be based out of to explore the area. The site was a long, concrete pull through with landscaping between sites. There was a nice amount of space between units and ample parking for vehicles once you're unhooked. The streets are asphalt and the park is very easy to navigate. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Traveling alone, I felt very safe there and had helpful neighbours.
