We decided to stop here on our way back to Kansas City after being in Colorado for a week. We saw their sign about 30 miles out and called and reserved on the fly. Manager was very nice and accommodating. We had a nice wide pull through site, totally level, which was great that we didn't have to unhook for the night. Cable, Wi-Fi and cell signal ( AT&T) were all great for us. It is right off of I-70, so the road noise is definitely there, but we had the AC on, so didn't notice it at all inside. They offered ice cream every evening and pancakes in the morning during specified hours, but we didn't go to either one of those. They do lack any bigger trees for shade, and a lot of the trees around the perimeter were dead, which is why we've dropped the rating down to 9. But if we were coming through Kansas again and needed to stop for the night, we would definitely not hesitate to go here again and would recommend to others.

We enjoyed our stay here and really have no complaints. They only have electrical hookups, but there is a dump station on your way out and water faucets located here and there throughout the park to fill your tanks. Each site has a picnic table, a post to hang a lantern, and a fire pit. Restroom and shower areas were well maintained and park itself was kept up. There are 5 or 6 designated "family campsites" if you need more space. A lot of lake access within the park for fishing and walking trails. Nice quiet park. We would definitely camp there again.

We were skeptical about what we were going to find when we arrived here after reading about bad roads and uneven sites. But in our opinion, none of those things were really an issue. We were in Row F, up close to the tent camping area at the back of the park. Our spot was level and although we had a back in site, it was fairly easy to get into even with our 38' RV. The sites are staggered so even though there isn't a ton of space in between the sites, you aren't neck and neck with your neighbor. The only leveling problems we had were with the picnic table that we had to put a board under one side to even it out. The roads aren't paved as many have indicated, but they were decent roads in our opinion. We were right across the road from the WiFi tower, so had a great signal when we were outside and a decent one inside. Their cable TV signal was great, too! We also had a fantastic view of Longs Peak when sitting out on our patio area. The view around the entire park is great, and only a couple of minutes to the RMNP entrance. Although paying $53 a night seemed excessive, and likely the most expensive park in the area, after seeing a lot of the others in our sightseeing, if we were to return to Estes we would most likely go back here to Elk Meadows.
