Marina Dunes RV Park, Marina, California

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

This park is over priced, but it is the only game in town besides the MoCo Fairgrounds. The sites are small and narrow. Some are adjacent to the freeway. Very noisy. Lots of sewer odor throughout the park. We inadvertently logged on to the park wi-fi and were immediately hacked. We normally use our hot spot and didn't know we were on the wi-fi. I told the office clerk about this (just an FYI) and was lectured about wi-fi security. She could not care less. Real attitude. Will not stay here again. We camped at Marina Dunes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Grand Canyon Railway RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Don't stay here if you value your sleep. This park is literally feet from the railroad tracks. Trains come through at all times during the day and night. They have to blow their horns directly next to the park. Asphalt sites are nice, but they are not level. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Kaibab CampeRVillage, Jacob Lake, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are all very unlevel, dirt and gravel. Bring boards. 30 amp service is OK. You don't need AC here. Lots are spacious and forested.

We will not stay here again. We camped at Kaibab CampeRVillage in a Motorhome.

Monterey Fairgrounds, Monterey, California

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

DON'T STAY HERE. A construction company is using the fairgrounds as a staging area for a major street project. Trucks and equipment are coming and going all night long. You WILL NOT SLEEP. Not a level spot here. If you have a motorhome your front wheels will be in the air if you don't have blocks. The lower section is dirt and wood chips. A muddy mess when it rains. Dusty and dirty when it is dry. The upper section borders the golf course. Rigs are constantly getting hit by golf balls. Sites are very tight. There is a huge dip at the entrance. If your rig is low it will bottom out. This park has been neglected for many years. The fairground management does not care and will do nothing to improve it because it is the only game in town. Do yourself a favor and go 10 minutes north on Highway 1. We camped at Monterey Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Arrowhead Marina & RV Park, Schenectady, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with all of the reviews, except for one thing .... Trains! All night! The tracks a very close and the trains always blow their horns. Didn't sleep for five nights. Otherwise, this is a great place. We camped at Arrowhead Marina & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Philadelphia South KOA (formerly Timberlane Campground), Clarksboro, New Jersey

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Dump. This is an old run down campground. About half of the sites are permenents. Our site, and many others, was not level. The lady in the front office was rude. She looked like she just rolled out of bed.

The only redeeming value here is that it is the only campground close to Philly. We would not stay here again. We camped at Philadelphia South KOA (formerly Timberlane Campground) in a Motorhome.

Charlottesville KOA, Charlottesville, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very old and run down KOA. The entrance is located on a blind curve. If you miss it there is no place to turn around for several miles. Spaces are unlevel and full of weeds. It took three attempts to get level in our space. Permanent residents are noisy. Our neighbor, whose truck did not have a muffler, left for work at 5:30 every morning. Very annoying. No satellite service. Too many trees. The office staff is nice and very helpful. We would NOT stay here again. We camped at Charlottesville KOA in a Motorhome.

Dakota Ridge RV Park, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Don't be fooled by the pretty pictures on their web site. This place is run down and badly in need of repair. Our concrete pad was unlevel, cracked, and uneven. It was difficult to level our big rig. Some of the asphalt pads were in the same condition. The roads are worn out and there are many pot holes. Also, the roads are very narrow, making access to the site difficult. There are no level places to connect or disconnect your toad. The grass is dead and brown. A rip-off for fifty dollars a night. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Riverview RV Park & Campground, Loveland, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This campground has a NO REFUND policy. In my opinion, this is because once you pay and drive in, you will want to leave. It has been said that the roads are dirt and gravel. Well, they're 99% dirt. Dust everywhere. The permanent section is a dump, with trashy trailers and motorhomes. The first night we were there, five sheriff's deputies took away our neighbor. The front office personnel are rude and impolite. We had to leave three days early because of a family emergency. They refused to refund the difference and said the manager was unavailable. We will never go back. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Robidoux RV Park, Gering, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

I would have rated this park higher if not for one thing: The homeless encampment on the east side, next to space 7. Tents, broken down cars, and trashy trailers. Otherwise, this is a very nice park. Large spaces, grass, cement pads. Just stay away from site #7. We camped at Robidoux RV Park in a Motorhome.
