Singing Hills RV Park & Campground, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We were greeted by a very friendly man in the office. We were assigned to a site beside the barn and told we should have no problem with satellite. The site was so unlevel that our coach couldn't level without the front being so far off the ground I could barely get in the door. The power cord went through a broken hole in the barn and you went into the back of the barn to plug in. Very strange. Wifi was good because it was mounted beside us on the barn. There were some decent level sites that were booked by a group. Not sure we will be back. We camped at Singing Hills RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Duck Creek RV Park, Paducah, Kentucky

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We have been to a lot of RV parks in our travels and this one rates up their at the top. The staff was very friendly. Our site was level, good hookups, long sites with plenty of room for slides with staggered sites so you are not looking into neighbors coach. Gravel roads and sites with grassy area beside coach with fire ring and picnic table. Very pet friendly with nice large fenced in dog run. Wifi was excellent with several towers throughout the park. Very strong Verizon signal. Location is easy access from I-24 and close enough to downtown area and upper town. We thoroughly enjoyed Paducah and Duck Creek RV Park. We will definitely be coming back. We camped at Duck Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you are a quilter, you must go to Hancock Fabrics. The Ohio River is fascinating to just sit and watch the barges. Check out the Flood wall murals while downtown.

American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

The park has paved roads and concrete pads that are level. They offer a free continental breakfast for overnighters. The WiFi is weak and very sporadic being offline more then on. The office help didn't seem to know what was going on with it or even what the correct password was. The big issue for us was 50 amp service shutting off. Beware of sites 216 and 225, which we both found out the hard way, that these lots are tied together and cannot sustain both sites running 50 amp service each. The office was no help and even after maintenance was aware of the situation by the other guest at site 216 still didn't notify us of the problem. It was the other site guest that told us. That guest moved to another site and was fine. The park then rented this site out immediately, which started our power issues all over again. I'm not pleased at all with the management of this park. This could and should have been handled differently. Keep in mind it's June in the 90's with air shutting off several times. Our poor little dogs were so hot. Again, it is a nice park but don't stay in these 2 sites. We camped at American RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lake Conroe / Houston North KOA , Montgomery, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for 2 mos, May and June 2015. Rate is based on monthly rate. The grass was mowed twice in 2 mos. The new manager has changed this park and not for the good. We have stayed here 4 times in the past and I will not go back. Tried to reserve a site 3 weeks before arrival and could only speak with manager, who was unavailable. No returned phone call. Called again and mgr said monthly rentals could only book 1 week in advance but curtly said she would try to do it. Employees not very happy with their jobs and it shows. Pool area was clean but cold water. Had to sign contract for our stay with rules stating no outdoor furniture, no lawn ornaments of any kind, nothing outside the RV. We didn't put anything out but realized later that no one enforces any rules. Wifi is almost nonexistent. Site was level with concrete pad for RV and vehicle. Grass was full of stickers and very tall. This was a nice friendly park but this manager has taken it down with her rules and approach to matters. We left early because of the mess in this park. People racing up and down the road with loud music until after midnight. We will Noat go back unless there are some changes such as new managers that train their employees. We camped at Lake Conroe / Houston North KOA in a Motorhome.

Happy Holiday Resort, Rapid City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park is in an excellent location for Mt Rushmore and close enough to Rapid City for supplies and restaurants. Almost half of the park seems to be live ins. Roads are gravel and very narrow. We have watched big rigs trying to maneuver in and out with much difficulty and the park is not busy right now. Many sites are aligned so that your front door opens to a shared covered patio and 2 picnic tables side by side that are shared with your neighbor, which could be awkward if both parties tried to BBQ and eat outside at the same time. Restrooms all need to be repaired and updated. They were not kept clean while we were there. Laundry room had a washer full of water that wasn't repaired while we were there and 3 dryers were out of order but not marked. Laundry room was not kept clean. Wi-fi was good. Overall, we would not stay here again as there are many other RV parks in this area. We camped at Happy Holiday Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Grizzly's RV Park, Blytheville, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This is a rundown small park with only about 5 sites open and the rest occupied with long term tenants. There is only one road down the middle of the park with a turn around spot at the end. The office appears to be closed. We were met by a woman on a golf cart that led us to the back and collected the nightly fee in cash. She did not take our names or ask us to complete any registration. There was no wi-fi signal where we were in the back so I'm not sure if the park has wi-fi. We did not see any restrooms or showers. The road and site were dirt. The other RV traveling with us awoke to a flat tire on their RV and 4 screws were found in the tire. A tenant there told us they probably came from the park because they have been working on a building upfront. We did not feel safe here. We would definitely not stay here again. We camped at Grizzly's RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Western Star RV Ranch, Liberal, Kansas

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is 1 of 2 RV parks in this area. It is unusual in that you pick your spot and wait for the owner to come by to register and pay after 5 p.m. The owner is very friendly. There is no onsite manager. It is definitely a 'no frills' park as stated in previous review. The wi-fi was the best I have had in an RV park for a long time. There are no shade trees, grass or picnic tables at the sites. It is all gravel. It is located 5 miles from town and no convenience store or even vending machines if you wanted a snack or soda. There are only 2 bathrooms with showers which are not designated men or women's. The restrooms were both out of toilet paper and paper towels and remained that way all day due to the fact that the owner only shows up after 5 p.m. We would stay here again if passing through but would be better prepared. We camped at Western Star RV Ranch in a Travel Trailer.

Holiday RV Park, North Platte, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This park has grass and big shade trees. It is conveniently located to restaurants and shopping. It was well kept and clean. I was rarely able to connect to the Wi-Fi while there. It was pet friendly and we enjoyed visiting with other pet owners in the park. Laundry room was adequate, but some machines could be replaced. Restrooms and showers were clean. Staff was friendly and courteous. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Holiday RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
