Ocean Mesa Campground at El Capitan, Santa Barbara, California

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

Great park with a sister park walking distance away. State beach was a downhill walk, which meant an uphill climb coming back. But beautiful nonetheless. All was good with one exception of having an anthill on our friends site, which unfortunately invaded both our trailer an our friends rv. They were all over the grounds including the washrooms. Staff was aware of the problem and provided us with non toxic spray. This would definitely be something they should get a handle on and perhaps had offered a discount. We camped at Ocean Mesa Campground at El Capitan in a Motorhome.

San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA, Petaluma, California

Wonderful rv park, beautiful big trees, ample sites! Staff was more than accommodating and went out of their way to offer assistance when required. Daily activities and great amenities for kids including a petting zoo. We would definitely come back. Cute town of Petaluma with easy access to the hwy for a trip to San Francisco. We camped at San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Moss Landing KOA Express, Moss Landing, California

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

This was definitely an express campsite with a premium price. Located beside a power plant and backing on to a very busy road. It felt like we were set up in a parking lot. Initially booked side by side with friends we were traveling with but were separated to accommodate another group. Front desk staff was confused at best. Would not recommend We camped at Moss Landing KOA Express in a Travel Trailer.
