Hilltop RV Park, Fort Stockton, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

DON'T USE GPS OR GOOGLE. Use the directions the campground website. This is a perfect overnighter, long enough not to unhitch, easy navigation with super wide roads, and wide sites. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We camped at Hilltop RV Park in a Motorhome.

Schulenburg RV Park, Schulenburg, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Easy to get to from I-10. Inside the park were a few very manageable wiggles with our 40' motorhome with toad on the way to the site. No issues at all on the way out. Let them know about slides when making the reservations. They try to select the best site. We were lucky to get #49, at the end of a row and overlooking a small pond. Plenty of room for slides. Very friendly and helpful staff. Cable very basic. Internet best we've ever had - could even stream some videos. We camped at Schulenburg RV Park in a Motorhome.

This place is a find! Don't miss the painted churches - no tours available in Jan. But they are open during the day.

Bayou Wilderness RV Resort, Carencro, Louisiana

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Easy on/off from I-49. Don't try from I-10. There were quite a few potholes on our way out of the campground, but manageable. Jnternet was per usual - weak. Cable excellent. Beautiful setting. Site 55 was overlooking a "pond" with cypress trees. It was possible to walk around the pond. Within 15 minutes of Lafayette. We camped at Bayou Wilderness RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Don't miss Bon Temp Grill. The Shrimp and Grits were to die for. After talking about "heat", and after I committed to getting it, our waitress got the cook to let me try the sauce to see if was too hot for me. It was perfect. The meatloaf was spicier than my companion expected, but she said it was very good. The Cathedral was definitely worth seeing.

Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park, Vicksburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

EASY access from I-20 westbound. Sites were narrow, but with the wide roads inside the park it was easy to pull into the site. Sites are all pull-though, FHU, with all hookups at the back. Our 40' motorhome and toad would have just fit, sticking out only a little in the back, except for the bicycles mounted on the toad. We had to unhitch. Staff very friendly. WiFi, as everywhere, pretty much useless, even at 6 am. Cable excellent. This was an overnight for us, but we are planning to stay here again when we come to see Vicksburg on the way back east. We camped at Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park in a Motorhome.

OK RV Park & Canyonlands Stables, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

If ever traveling again to Moab I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of room to maneuver in our 40' motorhome. Sites are ample, with plenty of room between, shady and level. Very accessible hook ups. Excellent cable. Wifi is so-so (but that's true of nearly every park we've ever been to). Only 5 miles south of Moab. Just a note: if you can get one of the sites on either end there is a fantastic view of the cliffs, which are visible on two sides of the park. We stayed here because of reviews on rvparkreviews. Thank you! We camped at OK RV Park & Canyonlands Stables in a Motorhome.

Cedar Bluff State Park - Bluffton Area, Ellis, Kansas

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this campground for a layover day after traveling for 3 days straight. The ONLY downside is after two days we didn't want to leave! Wide roads, easy turns, spacious campgrounds, 50 amp (no sewer), level sites, well maintained, trees, lake, wildlife, just plain awesome. Staff very friendly. We camped at Cedar Bluff State Park - Bluffton Area in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

When (if) going to see the bluffs, just keep left on the gravel road when the map looks like you should travel a ways on pavement. We toured the area a bit trying to find the bluffs. We saw them at sunset but think at sunrise the light would be better.

Dakota Ridge RV Park, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

First of all, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to the staff and manager for helping us fit into the last, not quite big enough spot. We were booked across the road, on bad advice from the registration person at Thousand Trails. No way we fit! Dakota Ridge bent over backwards to help us out: the manager personally helped guide our 40' motorhome into the site.

I agree with other reviewers on site space and layout. This is a nice place to stay while visiting Denver. Pricey yes, but it is a city campground. We found it very like other campgrounds that are what I call "campmotels." They supply the utilities, you bring the room. Thinking of them as a motel, I can feel positively expansive about the nearness of my neighbor. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were just overnighting, but did go to a Camping World and Super Target nearby. Turn right out of campground, on the right several blocks down.

Pine Grove Village MH & RV Park, Columbia, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is a mobile home park that has added a few barely adequate RV spaces. Owners pleasant on the phone, but it's a good thing I always call ahead. They close at 4pm and have no site map on the web. Also, he said we would not have to unhitch, but not true - the site just fit our 40' motorhome.

The pads are gravel with concrete "stripes" supposedly for the RV tires. Luckily our tires just fit the concrete and our levelers landed either fully on the concrete or fully on the gravel.

Water hookup was underground, but was pointed straight up, so no trouble connecting. I did have to remove my Y connector. The first turn into the RV area was a little tight but after that there was plenty of room. Getting to the park from I-70 was easy but there was a lot of traffic, especially when we left at 7:30 the next morning. I would look for another place next time. We camped at Pine Grove Village MH & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Clarksville RV Park & Campground, Clarksville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with other comments, but didn't see anyone who used this park as an overnight, which is what we did. It was great. Easy in and out from the interstate. Very easy to navigate inside the park. We really didn't experience much road noise, and only a little from the scrap metal yard. The pull through fit our 40' coach and Honda CRV toad without unhitching. Although a bit pricey, I would highly recommend this place as an overnight. We camped at Clarksville RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
