Los Suenos de Santa Fe RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects price increase during Balloon Fiesta. Follow the driving directions given on the website. Look closely for The Lofts sign, the yellow RV park sign is even smaller and difficult to see. Also, turning left out of the park requires crossing three lanes of traffic. It could be difficult. Be mindful of the power lines on your site. In the upright position, our TV antenna barely missed the lines. Some sites have huge potted trees you have to maneuver around when pulling out of the site. Sites are close to each other. You have to disconnect towed vehicle in the pull thru sites. 50 amp box is on the pole located midway on the site. Sewer connections located in rear of site and midway. We camped at Los Suenos de Santa Fe RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Metered electric fee is added to the weekly rate. Local TV channels are not available, no cable, satellite service was good. WIFI is good but cell service is not good in the area. All previous comments describe this park quite good. We camped at Sierra Hermosa RV Park in a Motorhome.

Chatfield State Park, Littleton, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Major construction in the park so be sure it does not impact you. We entered the park from the Plum Creek entrance or Roxborough Rd. It is the closest entrance to the campsites. The nightly fee does not include the $10 reservation fee or the daily vehicle fee. We stayed several days at Colorado State Parks so we an annual pass for $70 otherwise it is $7 a day entrance fee for the RV. Keep your towed vehicle hooked to your RV until after you register in order to receive the towed vehicle pass which is free. Great facility, good price for the location and easy access to major roads. We stayed here 11 days and will definitely return to this park when we are in the area. We camped at Chatfield State Park in a Motorhome.

St. Vrain State Park, Longmont, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Gravel roads inside the park, however, park staff keep them watered so there is limited dust. Excellent sites, pull through and level. We stayed in the Kestrell Section. The only negatives are the added fees: $10 Reserve America fee per reservation and the park entrance fee. We purchased the annual pass since we stayed several days at several Colorado State Parks. No charge for tow vehicle as long as you tow the vehicle into the park. Easy access to interstate. Walking trails around the lakes inside the park. We camped at St. Vrain State Park in a Motorhome.

Rifle Gap State Park - Lakeview Loop, Rifle, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Park is about 10 miles from the interstate. The last 5-6 miles of the road are slightly narrow with a few curves but doable in motor home. A couple of sections of the roads inside the park are narrow for two way traffic but they are well marked. The sites are very large and level and parking is very easy. Good price for full hookups. The rate does not reflect the $10.00 reservation fee and the daily park entrance fee. We are staying several nights at Colorado State Parks so we purchased the annual pass for $70.00. This pass went on the motor home. Our tow vehicle was free as long as the vehicle is towed into the park at check in. You will receive a tow vehicle pass. We stayed here in a 40 foot motor home. We camped at Rifle Gap State Park - Lakeview Loop in a Motorhome.

Live music jam sessions on Saturday nights. Good location to visit Rifle Falls, fish hatchery and Glenwood Springs. Good location for a day trip to Aspen and visit to Maroon Bells. We rode a portion of the Glenwood Canyon bike trail, parked at the rest area at mile marker 121 and biked east along the Colorado River. Nice ride. Trailhead parking in Glenwood Springs was limited.

Fossil Valley RV Park, Vernal, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Manager extremely nice and knowledgeable about the area. Our site, #28, was the first site in the park. Shady with large grassy area. Next to restroom, laundry and road. Very good wifi. There is road noise. You have to pay to use the shower. Hwy 191 from Flaming Gorge is doable in RV. 6-8 percent grades and switchbacks but not too bad. Sweetwater Events Complex - RV Park (formerly Sweetwater Fairgrounds), Rock Springs, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the Pilot Butte Campground. The sewer connection is located at the rear of the space, two sewer hoses may be needed. Do not leave awning out unattended, VERY windy at times. Call prior to arrival to be sure there are no major events scheduled, however, there are many many sites. No reservations. Check in with host then pick out site. Absaroka Bay RV Park, Cody, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park located on the east side of Cody just passed the airport. GPS may take you to the rear entrance. Front entrance is right before you get to Burger King. Park is not very large so be sure to make a reservation if you have a big rig. Our site was large enough for our 4o foot RV but barely room for our tow vehicle. There are sites for larger rigs. Very nice staff. If traveling to Cody from the east in a RV, do not take HWY 14A over the northern Bighorn Mountains. We took Hwy 16 over the southern portion of the Bighorns. Be sure to research which westbound route is best suited for you. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.
