RV Ranch at Grand Junction, Clifton, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We love it here! This will be our second summer at this clean and picturesque park. Staff is beyond helpful, never had a problem checking in. Level, spacious, shaded, padded sites and lots of soft green grass. We have a favorite site in the park and upon request we were allowed there for an extended stay with no hassles whatsoever.

Showers are very CLEAN, and I am super picky to say the least. Plenty of hot water. Didn't smell at all, as a previous poster stated.

Park is not too big and not too small - which is important to us.

The owners take pride in this park by enforcing the rules diligently.

2 enclosed pet run areas which is a must for us.

Wonderful kids playground and sparkling clean pool.

We were allowed to store our RV over the winter here too!

We consider this well maintained campground our second home when in the area to visit family.

** one additional improvement I might add is to have some extra loungers / chairs and a couple umbrella tables for shade in the pool area ** We camped at RV Ranch at Grand Junction in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Make sure to experience Glenwood Springs only an hour away. Check out the caverns, alpine slides & amusement park feel at GlenwoodSprings Adventure Park then head over to Hot Springs Pool for a long soak in the natural mineral waters. Both these activities are suitable for either adults alone or adults w/ kids. Hot Springs has kid pools, diving board and a HUGE waterslide. Call 1st to make sure theyre open. When we arrived the slide was closed but we had a blast nonetheless.

Rutledge Lake RV Park, Fletcher, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

At first glance Rutledge looks wonderful. Its very picturesque. Here are our issues: TV and CLUBHOUSE: One night we went to the clubhouse to watch our favorite TV show because the station at our site was too fuzzy. To our dismay the clubhouse was closed at only 9 PM. It should be open till at least 11PM; its summer & there's a ton of kids here. Same with the pool; it's locked down tight at 8PM. Another disappointment. ACTIVITIES: There are none. Nothing. Most campgrounds we go to have regular recurring social activities to keep campers coming back. Be it cookouts, campfires, bingo, card games, movie night. This was the most boring campground ever. WI-FI: We had to drive about 5 miles to the local library to get it. At our site we had none or very weak signal. If there are any large rigs next to you, you won’t get a connection. Don't bother bringing your laptops/tablets to this park. STAFFING was pretty horrible for the most part. One morning we went to the store to get directions to a place less than 10 minutes away. The person working did not know how to get there, nor where the campground was located on a local map. The person was unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome, like we were bothering them. Hire workampers and train them. For these reasons we rated this RV park a 3 out of 10. For the price they charge it didn’t offer the amenities we look for. We will probably not be coming back even though it was a pretty spot. We camped at Rutledge Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Camelot RV Park, Malabar, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Everything about Camelot is wonderful - from the many ongoing activities to the pretty setting - to the warm friendly returning customers - to the very helpful friendly staff. We love Camelot. We had a site right on Hwy 1, so we could see the water from our site. Everything worked like a charm at our site, cable TV worked great. WI-FI was always on. Every night we were there a different activity was going on which created some lasted friendships. The pool was spotless and heated so we could do a dip at night if we wanted. No lifeguard was present, no big deal, theres a tall fence, no kids could get in there even if they tried. Their restroom/shower facilities were the cleanest I think I've ever seen. They even had hot lights above each stall so you could dry off fast and stay warm in winter. The clubhouse was large, and offered a lot of books, puzzles, games etc. There was a large kitchen. Bingo every week, with free cake, drinks, pizza and popcorn for campers. There was bocci ball and shuffleboard (and tennis, I think) The rates were very reasonable. They offer a a nice gated storage area in back so you can leave your RV there and it wasn't too expensive. We had a blast and will be returning soon! We camped at Camelot RV Park in a Motorhome.
