Arm Lake Recreation Area, Wainwright, Alberta

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here two nights. Very quiet. Very large lots. They also have seasonal rates. Campsite was very clean. WIFI and cable only at the office, along with public showers and restrooms. Small laundromat at the office as well. Rate was 22 CAD for water and power. Campgrounds also have a small 9 hole golf course which I did not use. Office has a place where you can get burgers, fries and ice cream. Small playgrounds where small kids can play. We camped at Arm Lake Recreation Area in a Fifth Wheel.

Mt. Kidd RV Park, Kananaskis, Alberta

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Great weekend / campground was clean / very well treed / restrooms clean / lots size very large / WI-FI very, very poor, only received weak signal at campers centre / cable vision ok, but limited channels. The biggest disappointment were the hot tubs. They are not is working order, so are closed. I was told campground was lease from the government of Alberta and they do not want to fix the problem, neither does the lessee. Well someone has to get their act together and repair the hot tubs. Overall 7 out of 10 due hot tub closure. Could be a 10 and one of the nicest campground in western Canada, a gem. We camped at Mt. Kidd RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Gordon Howe Campground, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicest campgrounds in western Canada. Park like setting. Have camped here in the past many years ago. The only problems I found is that they need to upgrade the amenities for the campers. The men's showers were in bad need of repairs. Two of the four stall were not working. Water always on floor outside of stalls, but overall washrooms very clean. Wi-Fi very very poor - hard to log on unless sitting outside main office. My advise to the campground is upgrade the campground with better Wi-Fi , fix up washrooms, put in cable TV and you would again have the best campground in western Canada . We camped at Gordon Howe Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
