Great location for visiting the area. The casino is across the road. The sites are spacious and many have full hookups and cable TV. Easy access for big rigs and pull thru sites are very long and level. Very quiet and well maintained. We come here several times a year. We camped at Bay Mills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

About 20 minutes west of the campground is a lovely sand beach on Lake Superior that is not packed with people. Pickles to the east is a great restaurant with lovely whitefish sandwiches and dinners.

Glo Wood Campground, Pendleton, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Close to I-69 with easy access. GPS coordinates do not work but got us close enough to see their sign with more directions. This is a small campground with long pull thru sites. Sites are gravel but solid. They had had a lot of rain and the road in had potholes. Lots of grass and no shade. We had a storm the night we stayed but had no problems exiting either our site or the campground. It was a good overnight stopping place with no frills. We camped at Glo Wood Campground in a Motorhome.

Beagle Bay RV Haven and Campground, Sarcoxie, Missouri

Overall Rating:

Another easy access site from I-44. Staff was friendly. It was a good stop for an overnight after a long day's drive. Each site had it's own swing which was a nice touch. We camped at Beagle Bay RV Haven and Campground in a Motorhome.

Easy access from I-40. Nice sites and friendly staff. Limo service can be arranged to pick you up and take you back from the Big Texan steakhouse which was an unexpected surprise. Storm shelters scattered throughout the park. We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Motorhome.

USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access from I-40. Helpful staff and the grounds were well kept. There was dinner that could be purchased which was good and really appreciated. Sites did share utilities and are tight but acceptable for an overnight stay. Cable was included in our overnight fee and we didn't have a cable with us so they loaned us one to use. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stay here several times each year. While there is no shade the view of Lake Erie are awesome. It is windy at times and you may have to bring your awing in from time to time. The beach is wonderful, lots of biking/hiking trails. Friendly staff. We camped at Sterling State Park in a Motorhome.

Hy-Land Court RV Park, Ellison Bay, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

A very nice campground at the top of the Door Peninsula. Owners/staff very friendly. We stayed in a pull-in site that accommodated us nicely. Decent interior roads and no problems accessing our site. Lots of shade. Grounds well maintained. Some road noise at our site but it didn't interfere with our stay. This is our 2nd stay here and we will return again in the future. We camped at Hy-Land Court RV Park in a Motorhome.
