Frontier Bar & Campgrounds, Saxon, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

We had full hook-ups. The 7th day was free. Don't let the "Bar" part dissuade you. It is a comfy little campground. Free Wi-Fi was nice and strong. We would stay there again. We camped at Frontier Bar & Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We were there over 4th of July, go see the fireworks in Ashland, they're terrific! We went to Madeline Island on the ferry and also took a boat tour, both out of Bayfield. There are several waterfalls is the area, Potato Falls and Superior Falls were great, prepare to walk uphill!

Camp Hauberg, Port Byron, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Picturesque park on the Mississippi. Our site was 50 yards from the river. Beautiful wooded campground with grass sites. A cabin is available to rent, also. The manager is always helpful and friendly. There is a boat ramp and pier on the premises, too. This was our third time there and we always enjoy it. We camped at Camp Hauberg in a Travel Trailer.

Wyalusing State Park, Bagley, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

There are two campgrounds, one on the bluff with the view, and more open, the other in the wooded area, and more secluded. Wonderful scenery and wildlife. The only downside, the showers in the Homestead (wooded) campground have been closed for three years and you must drive to the other campground to take a shower, but they are modern and very nice. Lots to see in the Prairie Du Chien area. Still our favorite state park. We camped at Wyalusing State Park in a Travel Trailer.
