River Park RV Park, Valdosta, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This park looked really nice. Grounds are clean and well laid out. However, the staff told us on the phone and in person that no one ever complains about the traffic noise from I 75, and that they are well away from the hiway, nothing could be further from the truth. The entrance is away from the interstate, but our site was within easy sight of it, and the truck traffic all night kept us awake despite the A/C running. We could actually FEEL the vibrations of the trucks! The staff was very friendly, but their information was not the truth. No returns for us! We camped at River Park RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Roan Mountain State Park, Roan Mountain, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Loved this park! facilities were kept very clean, great staff, cool surroundings. Lower level loop was OK, if you don't mind a gazillion kids on a summer weekend! Sites up on the hill were far more appealing to us seasoned travelers! We camped at Roan Mountain State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Daytona / Speedway KOA, Daytona Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We spent two nights here as it was close to family, and we had KOA Value Card points to defray the cost. What a disaster. The folks there were real nice, but the facility is a mess. Wi-fi only worked in the front of the campground out by the office and closer to the highway noise. Sites were oddly spaced, although we had no problem getting on our Delux pull through as there were few other campers. My main beef is the condition of the bath houses. They are old, small, run down, hot, poorly ventilated, and roach infested. I feel bad for the management team; as I said they were very helpful and friendly, but in our opinion KOA needs to let this one go. It does not come close to the standard I have experienced as a long time KOA customer. We camped at Daytona / Speedway KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
