Date of Stay:

Quiet, basic campsite. Located in the woods, but close to the I-5 (traffic can be heard a bit). Large sites with table and BBQ pit. Many facilities for younger guests, like swimming pool, biljart, table tennis, volleyball, etc. All is operational, but badly in need of maintenance, including the restrooms and showers. Friendly owners. Good Wi-Fi. Relatively expensive.

Date of Stay:

Basic campsite in the woods east of San Francisco. Very nice sites with a lot of space in this Regional Park. Very limited /no facilities close to the RV site. No mobile phone service and no WiFi.

Date of Stay:

Small and quiet park with sites on shingle without table or shadow. New and clean restroom building. Good Wi-Fi. Very nice restaurant / saloon / shop. Good place for a stay-over along highway 50 in the middle of Nevada (east of Fallon).

Date of Stay:

Well maintained park. Small sites with a table and a patch of grass. Simple restroom facilities, but clean. Many long term residents. Good Wi-Fi. The advantage is being close to Reno.

Date of Stay:

Nice small park with site situated around a large grassy field. Restrooms and showers clean, but no privacy. Bad Wi-Fi. Rather expensive for the available facilities (e.g. no swimming pool), but a good location for a stay-over on Highway 50.

Date of Stay:

Very nice campsite with “all” facilities, including swimming pool and playground. Very clean and well maintained. Good WiFi. Recommended.

Date of Stay:

Basic campsite only for RVs. Drive-through site along the loop path in the woods; each site has a large place with table and BBQ. Shower facility far away from most of the sites, and only two showers per camper, per day included. Limited restroom capacity, but clean. No mobile, nor WiFi. Good price/quality.

Moab KOA

Moab, Utah

Date of Stay:

Located just outside Moab, half hour drive from Arches. Small sites, but facilities OK including swimming pool and mini golf. Almost useless WiFi and price is too high for that.

Date of Stay:

Campsite with limited facilities, but nice sites between the trees complete with BBQ and table. Shower facility is far away from most of the sites, and only two showers per camper per day included. Limited restroom capacity, but clean. No mobile, nor WiFi. Good location, relatively close to the geysers. Good price/quality.

Date of Stay:

Simple campsite, only for RVs. Small sites without table, closely spaced. Shower facility is far away from most of the sites, and only two showers per camper per day included. Limited restroom capacity, but clean. No mobile, nor WiFi. Too expensive for the offered facilities, but the big advantage is that this campsite is inside Yellowstone.

Date of Stay:

Close to the spectacular Beartooth Highway into Yellowstone. Sufficient facilities. Large site, but no shade. Nice swimming pool. Barely useful WiFi.

Butte KOA

Butte, Montana

Date of Stay:

Convenient location for an over-night between Glacier and Yellowstone. Close to busy roads (noisy). Good Wi-Fi.

Date of Stay:

Large campsite with “all” facilities. Hardly any shadow. Restroom/shower capacity insufficient when full (end of July). Good Wi-Fi. Very expensive and low rating driven by unfavorable price/quality ratio.

Date of Stay:

Basic and very quiet camping. Nice swimming pool. WiFi only available near the reception desk.

Date of Stay:

Good campsite close to the camper rental station in the Seattle area. Good Wifi. Rather high price.
