We stayed here in lieu of trying to overnight in a parking lot or truck stop while traveling through to Florida. It was MUCH better than a Walmart or truck stop. That said, the park is older and in need of repair. The drive is all gravel, as are the campsites save for a tiny pad of concrete that didn't really fit our 32 foot Class C. The grounds are pretty much dirt and gravel. It rained while we were there and there were large pools of muddy water all around us. We didn't leave the RV all day! And packing up to leave was a mess. The staff, although nice people, didn't really seem to know what was going on. The two people that did were out fixing the "night drop box" because it was broken into the first night we stayed. The so-called gated campground was wide open with no sign of any electronic closure, we were supplied no code. The gate stated that it was closed 8 PM to 8 AM, but this was not so, nor secured. Still this was better than overnighting in a parking lot and next time coming through Jackson, we likely would stay here again, but doubtful it would be for pleasure, just an overnighter.

Nice staff, good site pads made of asphalt, decent facilities, although older, still nicely maintained. The park is amazing and the beaches are some of the best in Pensacola! The fort is cool and there are lots of trails. We look forward to coming back when the weather is better, we stayed when the temps were down to 40 at night and no higher than 60 during the height of the day with high winds. So we didn't get to do as much outdoors as we would have liked. We were able to have a fire in the fire pit one night. Sites are nicely spaced apart for privacy. We would stay here again!

We stayed here November 1-3, 2013 this year to visit the Ozark Folk Center, which is nicely and conveniently right next door through a nice gate! The owners and all the folks that appear to be regulars were very kind, but not in our business. They get together to jam on guitars and such most nights, playing primarily bluegrass music. All the facilities were in perfect working order and we had a great time there. We'll be back. They tell us they shut down December 1 - March 1, so our next chance to stay with them will be spring. We will stay there again.

This was our first trip here. Nicely maintained park. Sites mostly level, we did have to use our levelers on the rear driver's side. We stayed in Campground A Site 19, although it was a nice weekend, I wasn't happy about the site's layout. The firepit was too far away, as well as the grill. The tent pad was in the place they should have been. But, that said, we made it work just fine. The trail at the end of our campsite down to the lake was nice. The view was gorgeous and our stay was relaxing. The older bath house was nice enough, although a little graffitied. The newer bath house was in better shape. The park was clean, well groomed, the staff was kind and easy to work with. We will stay here again but we have chosen a few other sites in A (17), C (84) & D (93) but the park staff informed us that C & D will be closed for a year for upgrades. (Probably adding sewer and concrete pads they said).

We really enjoyed our stay at PMSP. This was our first time to stay at the campground after many years of visiting for day trips. We were pleasantly surprised how great our site was! The staff was, albeit some young, extremely nice and helpful. Our site was clean and well laid out. We did have to use our levelers as the pad was a little bit of an incline (1.8? down to the rear) but after that all was well! Facilities were excellent. Park hosts (Good Sam) were present and helpful. Bike trails were excellent! Mather Lodge is NOT RV friendly for parking much. But everywhere else was great! We will return!

“We couldn't have picked a better location to start our new RV adventures!” Catherine’s Landing was beautifully designed, landscaped and laid out. The location was remote, but not too remote. The staff was courteous and very helpful on the phone answering my many questions about "can we...?", "will we...?", "should we....?" like the novices that we are! They took it all in stride and had easy-going answers for me.?? Plus, very affordable, considering the amenities include a great saline, chemical-less swimming pool, laundry facilities, game room, guest kitchen, gift shop/lodge with some drinks and beer products too! They also have a huge pavilion with fire pits for larger parties, complete with ice machines, and bath houses. Kayak, canoe, party barge and bike rentals were also for the taking at reasonable rates.?? We are already looking forward to our next stay!
