Hidden Valley, Deadwood SD, Deadwood, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The cleanest bathrooms, laundry and game rooms we have seen! The owners are very accommodating and friendly. Laundry is a bit expensive - $2 for a wash and $2 for dry, although this is one hour. Dump station on site. Lovely sites and well appointed even if a little close together. However, this did not really bother us as we were right next to the brook and it felt like we were on our own. It has a shop on site for small essentials and there is a shop just down road for extras. No supermarket in Deadwood so come prepared. There is WiFfi on site and you will need as the park is in a deadspot. We camped at Hidden Valley, Deadwood SD in a Motorhome.

Cedar Pass Campground (Concessionaire Operated), Badlands National Park, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here in summer and it was very hot as no shade from trees. However, it is a must see and a must do to stay in the midst of these amazing Badlands. Showers and toilets are very clean. Have to pay up to $1.50 for a shower but hat is for 10 mins so well worn it. The visitor centre is not far away if you need some air conditioning and some good food. We didn't feel like cooking it was so hot. Would do this again! We camped at Cedar Pass Campground (Concessionaire Operated) in a Motorhome.
