Boston Minuteman Campground, Littleton, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Really liked this campground. Camping in the woods. Vegetation between sites. Fire pit made out of boulders. Clean hot showers and bathrooms. Make sure to have bug spray. Checked in pretty early on a rainy day. Asked man working the counter if I should leave and return later. He looked at his book and found a site for us. He was also busy with a potential customer on the phone. Appreciate him getting us in so early. Everyone we met that works there seems helpful. They have information available on the trains and buses into Boston. We are from a small town in Iowa and were able to get to the subway (T)and take it into Boston on our own after some research. The T takes you right to Park St which is Boston Commons and also by the visitor center. Would stat at this campground again. We both regret not going into Boston a second day. We camped at Boston Minuteman Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails, Trenton, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $98.00
Overall Rating:

Had ocean view level site. It is a view of a bay of the ocean. Enjoyed the site but some may want to save the money for other parts of their trip. Wife at low tide went out and got some mussels. Had them for supper. Good wifi but had to log in at different times. Had to drive to laundry in campground. $2.50 wash and $2 for dryer. Several lobster pounds close to the campground. Shuttle to park and Bar Harbor comes right into campground. Grocery store not far from campground and reasonable. Bought live lobster there for $5.99 soft shell and cooked at campground. Had issues with a camper next to us that would leave there dog in their camper then go exploring the park and town. Second day it appeared it was going to be daily so contacted office and they called owners of dog and never had issues after. A lot of gravel in campground so a lot of traffic does kick up dust. Even golf cart raised dust. Overall our 7 day stay was pleasant. Clean hot showers. Would stay again but may save and park inside the campground. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Travel Trailer.

Niagara Falls KOA, Niagara Falls, Ontario

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $77.00
Overall Rating:

Easy check in. Clean hot showers. Level sites. Had pools and whirlpools and activities for children. Bought our Adventure Pass here during check in. WEGO bus stops in front of campground. If you have children would be a great place to stay. Just wife and I probably could find a better deal but I had to call them. Where KOA I could do on line. Your picnic table is going to be by the sewer connection of your neighbor. Cannot see what they could do about that. Never smelled anything so connections are tight. Some sewer connections are pretty high off the ground. Overall a clean campground and I would probably stay if in the area again. We have a small camper so cannot comment on room. Really clean and spacious showers. We camped at Niagara Falls KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Not far from the Welland Canal. Really enjoyed our visit at Lock 3 there. Were lucky to have two tankers go through while there. Grocery store not far from campground.

Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated), Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Pull Thru with full hook up and you are in the Grand Canyon!! Nothing really special about the campground. It was clean and easy to pull in. No WIFI in campground but available at different locations in the park. Have to drive to showers that are shared with other campgrounds In the area.

This is true with the laundry. Not a problem but could get pretty busy with all the campers. Showers were $2 for 8 min. Hot water. Dryer $1 for 30 min. Washer $1.75. The shuttle was close to the campground that would take you to the visitor center to catch other shuttles. If going to the Canyon for a few days this is a great option. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Travel Trailer.

Watchman Campground (NPS Campground), Zion National Park, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Paid $15 a night with passport America. Electric only and most sites are back-in. The bathrooms were clean. No showers in campground. Picked loop A site 06. Inside the loop. Close to the visitor center but far enough away from the noise. Loved this campground because of location. Gladly gave up showers laundry and full hook up for location. Parking usually was full by mid morning so it was nice to just walk right to shuttles straight from campsite. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Smith Lake Park, Algona, Iowa

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

For $15 with water and electric cannot say to much bad about the campground. It had back in sites. Gravel. Shade. Pretty level. The fire rings were not designed by campers. Too deep. Could only see the tip of the flames. But again it is only $15. Good campground. We camped at Smith Lake Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Stayed here while visiting friends. Clean campground and easy pull thru. The Continental breakfast was a nice touch but nice if earlier then 8am. WIFI was weak. No grilling. Had a area for pets. One of the nicer campground on our trip. Would stay again. Did not use pool or spa but looked clean. Close to interstate so could hear trucks but not a big deal. We camped at American RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground, Bryce Canyon, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Great location if visiting Bryce Canyon. The closeness allowed us to go in for the sunset and again later for the sunset views. The shuttles take you to the major points in the park but do not go in the park all the way where other views are located. Our campsite was located by the new showers which were very nice and clean. Groceries are pretty expensive so if you time it and are going through the town ofTropic there was a gas station and market with very reasonable prices. The whole area around the campground is owned by Rubys and the price reflect his dominance. Because of location would stay again. We camped at Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Good place to stay for the night. Level gravel. Full hook up. Good tv reception. Weak WIFI. Nice views. Farther from the Capita Reef visitor center then I thought but since we were in the park for a day no problem. Would stay again. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Moab Valley RV Resort , Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Great location if visiting the National Parks in the area. Outside of Moab which can get very busy. Had an outside spot which gave and open feeling but was by the road. Noise wasn't that bad. WIFI was just ok. Used laundry and showers which were clean. Had pool but did not use. Would stay again. We camped at Moab Valley RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

James M. Robb-Colorado River State Park (Fruita Section), Fruita, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped here as a staging point for taking Scenic 128 into Moab the next morning. Had most of the afternoon so got the wife a one day fishing license and she did some trout fishing in the park lake while I did a little hiking. She did catch one trout and lost several others. Clean campground. The $35 includes the state permit. I believe the showers cost $1 for 4 min. Clean showers and restrooms. Hot water. Would stay again. We camped at James M. Robb-Colorado River State Park (Fruita Section) in a Travel Trailer.

Big Lake Campground, Algoma, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Wanted a resort that would have fish freezing service available as we were going out on a charter for salmon, and this resort filled that need. The owner was friendly and the facilities were clean. Had full hookup. It is mostly a seasonal campground and most residents are fishermen with Lake Michigan size boats which I enjoyed looking at. Would stay again. We camped at Big Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Griffin Park, Pierre, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Wouldn't call it a campground but a place to park the camper with electric hook-up and there was a central water hook-up. Cannot have a fire but I did use my grill. For $16 a good value, and there was a fish cleaning station close by if there for fishing. Will probably stay again. 5 day limit. We camped at Griffin Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lax Lake Resort, Silver Bay, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Camped in a Casita 17ft, so had more options then a bigger rig would have. Ended up lake front on site 15. Liked the lake and the campground. The bathrooms were clean and hot shower for a couple quarters. No dump station, so emptied in Silver Bay when departing. Used the campground as a hub for exploring the north shore plus a little fishing at the lake. Would stay again. Operated by good people. We camped at Lax Lake Resort in a Travel Trailer.
