Gila Bend KOA, Gila Bend, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This park gets better every time that we stay. Fast efficient check in, friendly staff and great service. We normally get a pull thru but called the same day this time and got the last available spot which was a back in. The spaces are very roomy and hook ups are well placed. Easy in and easy out. We will return! We camped at Gila Bend KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Saguaro RV Park, Jackpot, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We reserved a full hook up space in the lower park for 5 nights. When we arrived approximately a week later we found out the water had been shut off for the season. We decided to cut our stay to two nights and stay in the upper park. Once you select a space you go to the hotel desk in the casino and register. The park maintenance and reservation desk obviously don't coordinate or we would have been told about the water situation when we reserved. The upper park has long pull throughs and is just a short walk to the casino. They have a strange rule, when you hook up your sewer you can only dump your gray water. There's a dump in the lower park for black water, go figure. I'm not sure if we will stay here again if passing through. We camped at Saguaro RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lava Hot Springs KOA, Lava Hot Springs, Idaho

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Our truck broke down near Grace, Idaho and our fifth wheel was towed to Lava Hot Springs KOA. We talked to the desk person earlier and they arranged things. We arrived about 10:00 at night and camp workers were there waiting and got us Parked in a pull thru space. We stayed for four nights while the truck was repaired. The park staff went out of their way to make sure that we were taken care of and we were very pleased with our stay there. We would return to this park. We camped at Lava Hot Springs KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Oasis Palms RV Park, Thermal, California

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We just stopped here for one night and were pleasantly surprised. Nice long pull thru spots with grass, lemon and palm trees. All the facilities are well kept, pool, hot tub, free fishing pond and very nice rec room.

The park is under new management, and lots of improvements are under way.

We would definitely stay here longer if we had known about this park. We camped at Oasis Palms RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Waitsburg Fairgrounds, Waitsburg, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We had made reservations elsewhere but upon arrival we decided to push on due to an abundance of flies and other bugs, no one to see about our PPA discount and no cell service. We headed south to Waitsburg and stopped at the city park to research another campground for a few days. After several calls we had no success since every park in this part of Washington was booked up due to the Pendleton Roundup. As we were leaving town we saw the yellow sign "RV Parking" and decided to check it out.

The park is very basic and has a grassy area for dry camping and a dirt/gravel area with full hook ups. We stayed three nights and were the only RVers there the whole time. The host is very friendly and eager to help and give advise about what to see, etc.

We tow a 39' fifth wheel and were allowed to parallel park since we were the only ones here. It would have been very tight backing in. We were glad to find this quiet little location, the town is very clean, friendly, and picturesque. We would stay here again when traveling through. We camped at Waitsburg Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Fairchild AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) , Fairchild AFB, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a month for $380.00. We were looking for a safe place to leave our RV for a few days while we did an Alaskan cruise and in that respect it worked out well.

It's a nice quiet, secure, friendly park.

The local commander apparently does not have the fam camp on his priority list. There is lots of dead grass and stickers surrounding the park our dogs had to tread lightly.

The spaces are tight and the sewer hook ups are right outside your door. The sewers have no threaded connections and require a rock or board to stay in. We had to open the valves only part way to prevent the sewer from backing up, so draining the tanks took a while. Only part of the machines worked in the laundry and when the coin boxes are full it takes a day or two for accounting to come empty them if you can find the camp host to notify them. The camp host was friendly and accommodating but difficult to contact most of the time. If in the area again I would opt for a commercial campground. We camped at Fairchild AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Burns RV Park, Burns, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Nice shady park with gravel sites, some back in and some pull throughs. New managers are friendly and on top of things and work hard at maintaining the park. We walked the dogs in a large grassy area at the back of the park.
This park is located just outside of town and surrounded by farmland, lots of green fields and deer to watch.
The only down side we noticed was the road noise from the nearby highway.
We would stay here again. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Canyon Springs RV Resort, Caldwell, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

our rate was based on a one week stay.
This is a fairly large park with paved streets and spacious sites, some are paved and the rest gravel. The hookups are well placed and sites have cement pads and picnic tables. Since this is a new park there is very little shade but trees have been planted. There is a nice fishing pond and some of the sites back onto it. There are various site categories and prices. The staff are friendly but you rarely see them.
I'm not sure why they chose this location for a park, there's a shooting range close by and a mink ranch that you definitely notice when the wind blows in the right direction. The garbage dumpster is at the end of the park and about a five minute walk from the other end.
Upon check in we had to initial and sign 3 pages of rules and anything over one dog is a $2.00 a day charge. there is a small dog run at one end of the park, otherwise you will have to take your dog out of the park on a dirt road to do his business or for exercise.
Overall this is a nice park that could use some fine tuning. We camped at Canyon Springs RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain Home RV Park, Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second stay, last summer we stayed a month and wanted to return if only for a few days. The park is immaculate, the staff is great and people are friendly here.

They have a great dog run, a very nice pool and hot tub. Lots of mature shade trees and large areas of grass between sites, long pull thru's.

We will return here again! We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Heyburn Riverside RV Park, Heyburn, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small city operated park on the banks of the Snake River. Friendly camp host and very well maintained. The sites are gravel, both back in and pull through. We had a pull thru and had plenty of room for our 39' fifth wheel, truck and mini van. The sites are separated by large grassy areas with cement pads and have picnic tables. This is one of our favorite parks and will return again when in the area. We camped at Heyburn Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here 3 nights, very well kept and clean park. The staff was great, very friendly and eager to please. Very dog friendly, they have a great off leash dog run. Good location about a mile from the freeway so very little noise. We will make this park a stop when coming this way again. We camped at Beaver KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice little town except for the "skinners" out by the freeway who con out-of-towners into new tires, and other needless repairs. Beware.

Desert Skies RV Resort, Mesquite, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

$21 per night was at monthly rate.

We arrived at 1:30 Saturday afternoon and found the office closed. Eventually the owner came and took us to our space and gave us passwords, etc.

The premium pull thru spots are long and consist of a gravel lot with hook ups and a cement strip to park your tow vehicle.

I just didn't feel the love at this park; the majority of the residents are in park models and mostly keep to themselves and don't associate much with the RVers.

I thought the management had some strange rules and they seemed to be out of touch.

The office hours are inconvenient, in addition to being closed on Saturday afternoons they are also closed on Sunday's. We had to drive down to the local car wash to get change for the laundry.

Wifi is almost non existent and we could only get one dot on Verizon. We had to drive up towards Mesquite a half mile to get a decent signal.

This park is clean and has many amenities, but I think it's way over priced. We will choose another park next time we are in Mesquite. We camped at Desert Skies RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
