Brown's Town Campground, Bishop, California

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Contrary to other review, toilets and showers were in good shape. Very friendly and responsive hosts..shut the yapping dogs up on request. Some people do not get it... their dogs are a nuisance especially when they leave and dogs remain to bark all day in their rig! Very nicely shaded larger spaces, but some 'hard to get DISH and DIRECT..select the sites along the golf course to get satellite. Pretty quiet for the amount of folks here... reasonable and nice place...would come again. We camped at Brown's Town Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Junction Campground, Lee Vining, California

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Host was very helpful and friendly. This is a wonderful dry camp with about 20 sites high in the Sierra, (about 8000'). Very, very scenic and just 2 miles from Yosemite east entrance (Tioga Pass). We camped at Junction Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Highlands RV Park, Bishop, California

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Ok park, just ok. It is very tight and crowded: the sites are less than 4 feet apart if you both have slides out. Everything else is ok. We think is would be good for 1-2 day layover, certainly not a week or two for vacationing unless you do not mind hearing your neighbors! We camped at Highlands RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Golden Pine RV Park, June Lake, California

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

There are several crotchety, bigoted and downright mean regulars here..it is like an old peoples home and the management caters to them hand and foot because they are such poor business people they need to keep every dime they get. They do not welcome newcomers. There are not many nice spots (maybe 5) otherwise you are cramped into less than 350 sq ft right up against your neighbors slide out just about. The office manager is real moody and just plain stupid listening to whatever her "regulars" say without any investigation on her part. My wife was deeply offended by there lack of helpfulness. We camped at Golden Pine RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Edwards AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp), Edwards AFB, California

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Well kept, easy walk to Commissary, PX. Upgraded PX now can purchase weapons! Park is desert venue, can be very very hot in July-Aug. Cools late Sept... very nice in Jan-May, stretch in June. Great layover place. Always easy to pull through in all spots. The host is very amiable, keeps it nice. We hope you stay host! We camped at Edwards AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Travel Trailer.
