This was our first "learning" trip with our recently purchased RV camper. It was the perfect place for our needs as a retired couple - full hookups for electrical and sewer drain at the camper site, clean with bathrooms and showers too. The receptionist advised my husband to take route 129 instead of 156 which was incredibly important for us to know coming in from 680. This was the slow season so we were lucky to have the end space which looked upon the lake for two days. The location for a visit to Monterey, Moss Landing for cioppino at Phil's Fish House and a great loop walk mostly along the coast at Wilder Ranch was fabulous. However, campers line up right alongside each other which could be tight if full. Also, picnic tables and fire pit are in an entirely separate area. Might not work as well for groups or if you like your own campfire.

Well maintained and monitored by personnel who check on you. Great location to take a drive up the coast with a stop at Fort Ross and lunch in Guerneville. Nice shops and restaurants nearby the campground if you like that. We should have selected a less shady site further from the roadway. But, we had a great camping experience with friends. The river was fun for rowing.
