Reno Silver Sage RV Park, Reno, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

One way, drive down the middle asphalt parking lot through a gate in front and out one in the back. The only reason to stay here is to be close to the Pepper Mill casino (and we were disappointed with the meal we had there). All back-ins with the sewer at the back of the sites (two hose lengths away). WiFi kept kicking out and finally wouldn't hook-up at all. I won't stay here again. We camped at Reno Silver Sage RV Park in a Motorhome.

Travelhome RV Park, Yuba City, California

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Convenient location and decent WiFi. No cable. Maneuvering was not a problem for my 35' and toad. Friendly, helpful desk personal. We would use it again unless there was another place with cable. We camped at Travelhome RV Park in a Motorhome.

Giant Redwoods RV & Camp, Myers Flat, California

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

My kind of park. Older layout with sites intermingled among trees along a river. Sites are level although the full hookup sites are a little close to one another. Friendly, helpful manager. Wi-Fi and cable worked well. I would stay here again. We camped at Giant Redwoods RV & Camp in a Motorhome.

Shoreline RV Park, Eureka, California

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, newer layout. Easy maneuvering. No picnic tables!! Good Wi-Fi and cable. If the only site available is wired for both 30 and 50 amp, you pay the 50 amp rate even if you only use the 30 amp plug-in. We camped at Shoreline RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beachfront RV Park, Brookings, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Site barely allowed my 35' MH and toad and are pretty much gravel with a concrete patio pad. They are also close together. A public street runs in front of your site for people wanting to drive along the ocean front (pretty steady traffic). You do have a nice view of the ocean from your RV if you have windows in front. Office closes at 4 pm, but there is a guy on a cart that will get you checked in. Wi-Fi and cable worked OK. We would stay here again only because of the ocean view. We camped at Beachfront RV Park in a Motorhome.

Andersen's RV Park, Long Beach, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

First the bad news: It is basically a gravel parking lot. The good news: It backs up to the dunes and the ocean is an easy walk through the dunes. Very friendly hosts and the cable and Wi-Fi worked well. Also, lots of room to maneuver. There is some grass near the office and community building. We would use it again. We camped at Andersen's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Blackwell Island RV Park, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly people at the office and level sites. Wi-fi worked OK, but I asked for a site near an antenna. I had no problem maneuvering a 35' MH pulling a toad----just have to know a little about what you're doing. We ate at the nearby floating restaurant twice and took advantage of the early bird special (prime rib for $18.95) twice. We were very pleased with the food and service. They have an enclosed "patio" that was nice to sit in and watch the lake. They had free drink tickets at the RV office!!! We would stay here again. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

E & J R.V. Park (aka Days Inn Ellensburg RV Park), Ellensburg, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Basically a parking lot behind a Day's Inn with a little grass and some junky monthly trailers. However, it was level and convenient to the interstate. Quiet the night we were there and the Wi-Fi worked OK. Would use it again for an overnight. We camped at E & J R.V. Park (aka Days Inn Ellensburg RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Heise Hot Springs, Ririe, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This was kind of a mixed bag. They have several areas where RV's are parked. Our site was fine and next to a bunch of seasonal campers and that was fine. Anther area looked like a gravel parking lot. Their Wi-Fi was the most aggravating I've used; strong signal and speed one minute and the next minute disconnected. We stopped to use the hot spring pool but, after seeing how dirty it was, we did not use it. They do have great pizza and huckleberry ice cream at their restaurant. We camped at Heise Hot Springs in a Motorhome.

Really lovely campground. Mature trees and on the Wind River. Level sites with plenty of maneuvering room. Good cable and WiFi. One of the nicest campgrounds we've stayed at in Wyoming or S. Dakota. Very friendly reception also. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Eagle RV Park, Thermopolis, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Mostly gravel, but with shade trees. We didn't have any problem maneuvering with a 35' MH pulling a toad, although the rig just fit in the pull through site. Friendly reception (son of owner) and good cable and WiFi. Would use it again. We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice campground. Off the highway about 1/4 mile and quiet. Some trees. Gravel sites but level. Lousy Wi-Fi. After driving by other campgrounds, this was a good choice. We camped at Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort in a Motorhome.
