Raton KOA, Raton, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Great overnight stay. Pull thrus long enough and easy in and out. Staff was friendly. This is a small campground just off the interstate. Make reservations, several were turned away- on a Thursday night. Two restaurants within walking distance as are other amenities. We camped at Raton KOA in a Motorhome.

Sheridan / Big Horn Mountains KOA, Sheridan, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Quiet, clean, staff friendly. Sites are a little rough. Could be graded or have more gravel applied. Some sites are shaded some are not. Some are long enough to keep car connected to big rig. Campground was only about 20% full the night we stopped in late August. We camped at Sheridan / Big Horn Mountains KOA in a Motorhome.

Bear Canyon Campground, Bozeman, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is a real conundrum. The location is great, right off the interstate and very close to town. The cleanliness, the wifi, the water pressure are all really good. The big rigs are parked in the center of the campground and many of the sites are unlevel. The interstate and train whistles can be annoying if you are a light sleeper. And no where in their documentation does it state that there is a $7.50 charge to check in before check-in time. If I was in a nasty mood I would have challenged them on that. I rated it higher than it maybe is because of its proximity to great amenities. We camped at Bear Canyon Campground in a Motorhome.

Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley, White Sulphur Springs, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

Conestoga offers a quiet get-away for those who don't need a lot of amenities. Great boathouse and laundry, limited wifi, all pull through sites. Sites are close but campground never got more than half full in the week we were there. The adjacent city offers food and services needed. Day trips to Great Falls and Yellowstone do-able. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Motorhome.

Missoula KOA, Missoula, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

The park celebrated its 50th year in 2017. Some of the trees are original. It's a well planned Park with plenty of room between sites and most get some shade. Breakfast is available daily and ice cream makes a showing once a week. Open year round the park is a great stopoff point for Missoula attractions or further travels. It is close to the interstate and the roads into the park are very good. Since it is in the city amenities abound. We camped at Missoula KOA in a Motorhome.

Canyon Trail RV Park, Boulder City, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second stay here. We chose to return. The staff is excellent, the location is great, access is simple. Just follow the directions and roadside signs. Sites are pull thru but may not be long enough for some tow combinations. Campground was upgrading wi-if while we were there. I hope it is better than what we experienced. We stayed here in April so did not use the pool. Interior roads are not as wide as we would like for our big rig but do-able. Good restaurants in town. Near the visitor facilities to Hoover Dam. We camped at Canyon Trail RV Park in a Motorhome.

Century Mobile Home and RV Park, West Haven, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Good location just off the interstate. Grass and gravel lots. All sites are pull thru but not long enough for some MH-toad combinations. We stayed here in April so there were very few children. Interstate noise is not a real problem. The newly planted trees could cause parking problems for big rigs in the future. We spent nine nights but didn't use the facilities since we were in town to visit family. We camped at Century Mobile Home and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mill Creek Ranch RV & Cottage Resort, Canton, Texas

Great place. Friendly staff. Good amenities, longest pull through sites ever, 60'. Gravel and concrete sites. Good space between sites. Nice pool but be sure to enter properly or you may find a long three foot drop off. WiFi is $5 per device per stay. We did not use it. Frenchman's Wilderness Campground, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Highly rated CG. Several overnight pull through spots but mostly permanents. Mostly grassy sites that are well kept. Easy access to interstate, friendly staff. Cash or check only.
Nice pool and playgrounds. Gravel and grass sites in the trees. It was very wet the night we arrived since it was only a week after the devastating floods in the area so was a little squishy everywhere we walked. We camped at Frenchman's Wilderness Campground in a Motorhome.

Shenandoah Crossing Resort, Gordonsville, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We have been camping here for ten years. In those years we have seen the new campsites, yurts and some cabins built as well as the general store and two pools.

Many of the reviewers have mentioned coming into the park in the dark. Just don't do it. It is true, in the dark the road signs are hard to read. Easy to do in daylight.

Poor internet is the biggest drawback to this park but using our booster works well.

We have often told other RVers that this is one of our favorite parks ever as a family who has camped for 30 years. What we have seen during our July 2016 stay is that cut corners in service and maintenance are showing. I still recommend staying for the large, well-equipped sites, the views and the amenities. We camped at Shenandoah Crossing Resort in a Motorhome.

Coeur D'Alene RV Resort, Post Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is highly rated by Good Sam. I guess that's why 80% of the campground is permanents or long term seasonals. The sites are fine for a big rig but with some sites occupied by two cars navigating can be challenging. We had a pull thru site but ended up backing out and then just barely missed a car as we made one of the turns upon exiting.
The CG is located a 1/4 mile from Walmart and is easily accessed from I-90.
The pool is indoors and has a max capacity of 7! We didn't use any of the amenities provided. We camped at Coeur D'Alene RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lake Easton Resort, Easton, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

I really want to say something nice about this campground but it has little to recommend it.

It is a membership campground and maybe this is how the members like it.

The roads were very bad, tree limbs hung low and hit or brushed our roof while driving. You pay for Internet. We paid $5 for three days. There is no cable or over the air TV, most sites do not get satellite either. But, the trees are one of the park's good points. All sites but a few are 30 amp. The 50 amp sites do not have sewer. Many of the 30 amp sites do not have sewer either and those sites are reserved for members. We camped at Lake Easton Resort in a Motorhome.

Elma RV Park, Elma, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

Nothing special here but a fairly quiet park. The employees are really helpful. Sites are gravel, fairly close together. There is a train that goes by at 5:45 am. Thirty minutes to Olympia. I am very tired of parks that advertise free WiFi but the bandwidth and range are so small that it's a joke. I was never been able to access the WiFi even with our booster and we were very close to the antenna. Just a pet peeve of mine being a full-timer. We camped at Elma RV Park in a Motorhome.
